We brought an RV we rented and had the best time here! It was The 2nd week in April and there was snow on the ground but it was in the 70's during the day, the kids loved building snowmen in their flip flops. We have 4 little ones and everyone of them found something they loved to do here.... More

Camp Edison at Shaver Lake is incredibly beautiful. It is located in the South Western corner of the Sierra National Forest, about an hour & half East of Fresno, CA. Let me start by explaining the one reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because of the "primitive" reservation system. You can only fax or mail your... More

This was my first time camping at Camp Edison. It was very peaceful and "clean" for a campsite. We tent camped as our other friends trailer camped. There was enough room for both on the site. I judge campsites by the cleanlinest of the bathrooms. These were kept very clean everyday. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. The... More

I have been coming to Camp Edison since I was a very young girl. I have so many fond memories of this place that as soon as I arrive I still feel like a 5 year old girl. The lake is beautiful, the campsites are amazing, the bathrooms and showers are clean, and you can't beat spending time in nature... More

My wife and I used this as our launching point for an 8 day backpacking trip on the John Muir trail. We pitched a tent in their reception/yard area. No cost for overnight backpackers. There was some noise from vehicles but not excessive. Fellow packers were considerate and quite. Local bears trying to dumpster dive weren't as quiet. The resident... More

First time going to Camp Edison/Shaver Lake. Highway 168 is a steep ascent/descent. Due to the heat, several cars overheated on the way up and smoked brakes on the way down. Town of Shaver Lake is quaint. Campgrounds are very busy, with many folks coming and going. Unfortunately, our campsite backed up to entrance road where trucks constantly driving by,... More

We did not stay at the campground, but went to the beach for the day which cost $10. The beach was pretty, but rocky. There is also a marina there with rentals and a lot of people launching their boats. This beach is located a couple miles north of town with signs marking the entrance. We found The Point to... More

When my family/friends visit Shaver Lake, we Always camp at Camp Edison for several years and many more to come. Very scenic and peaceful with nice campsites and things to do (bike, jet ski, boat, walk).

Great campsite. The people are nice and the restrooms are always stocked and super clean. Campsites are very close to shaver lake and the town of shaver lake. The marina at camp Edison is great. We rented a kayak for the day.
