I stayed at Avalon during my honeymoon, it was a lovely experience! It was romantic and very peaceful, it was hard to leave our room. We stayed in Guenevere's Tower, nice cozy fireplace. The room was decorated in very good taste. The grounds are beautiful and nice to walk around...enchanting! Hilary and her son AJ were wonderful inn keepers, (AJ... More

We were so happy to be under the hundreds of beautiful Pine and redwood trees surrounding this enchanted forest retreat. Listening to the creek running by lulled us to sleep each night. The rooms are gorgeous as well as the entire home. The beds and bedding are of the highest quality and feels like sleeping on a cloud. Breakfast was... More

overall we had a good experience but felt misled by claims on their website. They are on 4 acres, not 20. There are 2 redwood trees only in their 4 acres of forest. Their 4 acres are not really hikable as they are on a dangerous perch for exploring (and driving for that matter.). They sent us to the Armstrong... More

Dear Guests: A person's right to their own opinion notwithstanding, it is concerning that folks may write things without regard for what is verifiably true. We are very sorry this guest was not thrilled with her stay at Avalon, but the problem, I suspect, stems from our having requested they quiet down in the hot tub at 11:00 pm, and... More

I was a little conflicted about writing a review, because I'd prefer if less people knew Avalon existed so we could keep going undisturbed. However, after just returning from what we can only define as a wonderful first anniversary trip to Sonoma County, in no small part due to our stay at the Avalon's Magician's Suite, I owe it to... The Owners, Hillary & Gary, were perfect hosts. We felt at home right away, even after a hectic drive there from San Francisco. There assistant, Jerome, (also an excellent host and cook) handed us glasses of wine and we sampled their culinary expertise not 5 minutes after we arrived. The breakfasts were excellent. We stayed in the Enchanted Forest room,... More

Fantastic!!! Surrounded by the vineyards of Sonoma County, Avalon is a hidden treasure in a woodsy setting, with a King Arthur theme in every room. We were spoiled with the best breakfasts I have ever had, first-class and personable hospitality, and an enormous private hot tub. The owners have paid superb attention to detail. I was extremely reluctant to leave.... More

We had reservations about staying in a B&B as its not really our thing - but this truly is a lovely place. You arrive over a wooden bridge and the rooms have there own individual doors. the suite we stayed in had a lovely hot tub and was huge. There are tea coffee and wine tasting upstairs in the house.... More

We have stayed at The Avalon three times with the last visit being in February 2007 when we stayed in the Enchanted Forest Suite. We stayed in a different room on each on each of our three visits. Hilary said we were the first guests to ever stay in all three rooms. We had a fantastic time on all three... More

My husband and I stayed at the Avalon B&B for 3 nights from 4/27-4/30 as a mini-vacation away from San Francisco. It was absolutely relaxing and satisfying. This Sebastopol trip and lodging topped all our previous California trips such as La Valencia in San Diego, MacCallum House in Mendocino, Silverado Ranch Resort and Spa in Napa, Desert Inn in Anaheim,... We just returned from the Avalon today. What a wonderful stay we had. We celebrated our 20 year anniversary and couldn't have picked a better place to do it. We stayed in the Enchanted Forest Room. It was wonderful, and we were delighted with every aspect of the room and the B & B. The hospitality was over the top... More
