My wife and I stayed here for three nights in Oct 09. The good: this is basically a motel on 5 floors. Free parking and pretty safe that your car awill not be damaged or otherwise. Take a room at the back of the hotel as it will be more quiet, and also backs onto a delightful lake,..so quite pretty.... more

Definitely nothing special. This was essentially a roadside motel (albeit a little larger). Room quite small by American standards, breakfast usual cheap&nasty plastic-y HI Express fare, overlooked a noisy highway which blotted out the view of the ocean. Service OK, so a reasonable place to sleep overnight - but not much else. more

Great place to stay in Monterey. Had large room overlooking the pool. Staff v helpful - and told us to visit 17 mile drive / Pebble Beach, which are about 10 mins away - well worth it - see how the other half live!! No issues - do it! MJL more

The staff were good and I cant really complain about any element of this hotel. That said in no way was it at all special and so AVERAGE is the best assessment I can make. As a result I thought it was over priced and would not encourage anything other than functional visits. more
