A Little bit more variety at breakfast than other Motels. The staff was friendly and answered our questions. Unfortunately very dark rooms with no air condition and not so clean. But it was ok for one night and not so expensive...

Nothing special about this place, as the other reviewers said it is old and outdated. The beds don't have a pillow-top so you feel the springs but was surprisingly not bad to sleep on. The bathroom does has a bathtub though which is a plus. The breakfast was ok, but the lady setting it up was very rude. The front... More

If you need a place to stay and everything else is booked or too expensive, this place is just fine. The exterior needs some TLC and the rooms themselves are dated, but they are clean. It's true that the mattresses need to be replaced but surprisingly they were not really that uncomfortable to sleep on. Coffee makers and free wifi... More

The hotel looked nice on the outside.....BUT when the elderly male receptionist greeted us was wearing a dirty shirt and he needed a to shave....he was very nice when he did check us in. After seeing the room i said NO THIS WILL NOT DO......the room was old with an old fashion tv and a stained carpet.....he refunded my money... More

The room we were assigned, on the second floor. The stairs up to the room were dirty and in need of repair. The room wasn't any better. Upon opening the door, we were hit in the face with a musty odor. The carpet was in desperate need of shampooing, the bed was the worst I've ever seen. The mattress was... More

Not a high end motel but very adequate. We had been down to the Cannery and had late late lunch and had not realized how late it was and we needed to get a place for the night. My partner enjoyed the heated pool and worked off his energy. Very friendly staff and they even serve a small breakfast.

The hotel is older and in shows. The bed is very comfortable. The room is tight for two beds, a dresser, table, two chairs, and a pretty good sized fridge and microwave. This room is not suitable for obese guests. My father weighs 225 pounds and had to turn sideways to go from the bed to the bathroom, because the... More

We stayed 2 nights whilst visiting the local area and found the hotel to be absolutely fine. It was very quiet, very few guests and although the furnishings were a little tired and in need of some updating, we couldn't fault the cleanliness of the towels and bed linen. We didn't use the pool, which was very small, but a... More

I stayed two nights at this motel at a very reasonable rate. Room was very clean and comfortable. Extremely helpful, nice person at the front desk that even gave me a hug when I left. Would not have minded staying there longer but had made reservations elsewhere in same city which I thought about cancelling and when I recieve the... More

My husband and I booked two nights at the Magic Carpet Lodge in April 2013. We were looking for an inexpensive hotel but decent and this fit the bill. We came a bit early hoping to put our bags in the room so we could check in for a conference in Monterey. The front desk check- in lady was friendly... More
