We have passed by the old lumber town of Scotia many times on our way to Crescent City to visit relatives. One time we stopped in Scotia after hearing there were tours of the lumber mill. We compliled information and found out the Scotia Inn was a former apartment unit for the single men working in the mill years ago.... More

My sister and I were on a road trip so this was just a stop off for one night. On arrival I was impressed by the sheer size of the place. To me it looked smaller in the pictures. The lobby was lovely and clean and well presented. Decor was amazing and very appropriate for the history of the building.... More

This place was just OK. It is a nice old building but it seems a little tired. We had a two room suite which was clean and nice. The mattress was very soft and not very comfortable. The continental breakfast was poor. I pulled 5 moldy bagels out of their breakfast basket. Clearly not prepared daily. It is also right... More

We unfortunately arrived late to the Scotia Inn due to under planning on my part - though once we arrived it was all worth it! This large (dog friendly) Inn is out of place for such a small town but thankfully it's history remains for all visitors to appreciate! The rooms are large and the bathrooms step you back in... So very quaint, and interesting little town, the old hotel is like stepping back in time. The hotel is very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are all decorated and furnished in Victorian style. The restaurant was closed so staff suggested a restaurant in a town close by, that we thoroughly enjoyed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the two nights we spent in Scotia during our honeymoon trip to California. We were warmly welcomed and even advised to treat the place as our own "mini-mansion" as there was only one other room occupied. :) The room we had was fairly basic, but had a comfortable bed and even a hand-made quilt for extra warmth... Checked in at the bar and had dinner and drinks, huge room. Seemed like a dorm room but very cool experience staying there. Nice tv, clean hotel, breakfast upstairs and friendly service. Would recommend at least a stay of a night

My wife and I stopped by the lumber town of Scotia and found this wonderful 1920"s hotel called the Scotia Inn. We loved the look of this hotel, with pretty grounds and a very friendly staff. We asked to see a room and were given a key to one of their rooms. A large room with an antique bed and... More

If you are in the area, this is a nice place to stay overnight. My wife and I stayed overnight for a friend of the family wedding. The Hotel grounds are lovely, and the hotel is pet friendly. We stayed in room 221, its not very close to the lobby but it is very quiet. The room had a King... More

Great place to stay. Quiet, comfortable and historical. Perfect spot to launch to the Avenue of the Giants. Dinner in the pub with Lagunitas on tap made me very happy. Kid's menu a plus. Breakfast of fresh baked scones, coffee and fruit was just right to get us on our way to see the big trees.
