This is seriously overrated. Very expensive, very noisy (it's on a busy road), tired and scruffy rooms and hotel. The view is nice if you don't look at the parking lot! No bar, no restaurant, no minibar, not even bottles of water in the room ! This was $468 per night! Sausalito is a beautiful place but there is no... More

Thank you for commenting on your recent stay at Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa. The property is indeed located right in the heart of Sausalito and across from the Yacht Harbor, with magnificent views of Richardson Bay. We'd love to welcome you back, of course, and appreciate your note ragarding the street noise. As you can imagine, the comfort of... More

Upon arrival, our reservation (made in June) was not on file but the desk made it happen. Split level room okay--way too few outlets, one tiny television upstairs, and nothing special in amenities, not even bottled water. A lovely weekend overall and the hotel is in a great location, but at $400 a night, I have my doubts as to... More

My wife and I stayed in this fine hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is very well placed in the centre of town. Valet parking at $24 was good value as this is a very upmarket area by San Francisco. This hotel is not cheap but is worth the money. The room on the 4th floor overlooking the bay was... More

The spa is tucked away upstairs, in a cute indoor/outdoor location, the setting is unique yet right in the heart of downtown Sausalito. Both the facilities and the massage were top-notch. And, just a floor above the bar / restaurant for a great spa lunch / post-massage glass of wine.

I just got back from 4 nights at Casa Madrona. I was there for a much needed vacation and to celebrate my birthday. The location is perfect...........right in the heart of Sausalito..........near restaurants, shopping, art galleries, etc. Hand your car keys to the more then helpful bell boy/valet and forget about your car. You can easily walk everywhere. I rented... More

Visiting San Francisco for the umpteenth time, we decided this time to stay across the Bay in Sausalito and made a great decision to stay at Casa Madrona. The location is excellent (just across from the SFO ferry terminal) and the vibe in Sausalito is superb. The restaurant underneath Casa, Poggio, is the ONLY place to eat, breakfast, lunch or... After a week long vacation in San Francisco, my girlfriend and I decided to spend our last night in Sausalito before heading back home. Frankly, I wish we would have stayed here for the entire duration of our trip! The location is amazing- right in the middle of town on the main road with shops all around and the ferry... More

The staff make this place. Wendy, you were fantastic with your welcome and service and with your recommendations of places to see. Thank you to the valets and maids too. We had a room at the back which was quiet not least because there were no windows we could open; it was like being in a hermetically sealed box. The... More

Good staff. Great location with a view of the harbor and water. We stayed in an updated cottage. Close to the Marin Headlands and the Golden Gate Bridge. Good recommendations for restaurants such as Fred's . We hope to stay there again soon.

We had originally booked a hillside cottage, but the room they gave us 311 didn't have a balcony/outdoor area which we requested. They ended up changing us over to one of the main hotel rooms 4th floor and those rooms are beautiful. Excellent views and very spacious rooms with 4 post beds/big bathrooms, etc. They even gave us a bottle... More
