I stayed at the Casa Madrona Hotel with my girlfriend for a short weekend getaway. Our room had a view of the Bay with a balcony...it was surreal. We were able to sit by the fire at night with a real fireplace...the room was modern, spacious and clean. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in a... More

This boutique hotel is on the main street of Bridgeway (in the middle of town and entrance to the touristy section) in Sausalito, CA. The location is great because you can basically walk to all of the village restaurants and sites. However, if you want to take advantage of some of the less touristy, more local restaurant hangouts, you probably... More

My husband and I found this hotel at Splendia and chose it as an alternative from staying in SF. The hotel has a simple structure. No minibar and a third party hotel called Poggio which is excellent btw. We had breakfast everyday and meals about 3 times. Always good Italian food and very consistent. We booked a harbor view room... More

3 of us stayed here in this fabulous hotel. The room was excellent, very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was superb. Great location with lovely views. It felt very relaxing with lots of lovely cafes and restaurants near by.We all used the small fitness centre with lovely showers.Whilst we stayed here other family members spent the night in San Francisco, travelling over... I am not a fan of superlatives... that being said, this is possibly the best hotel experience me and my wife have ever had. For our third anniversary, we wanted something special so we booked stays in San Francisco, Sausalito and Napa. I'll say two things: 1. I won't directly compare Casa Madrona to the two other places we stayed... More

We were spending four days in Sausalito to celebrate a landmark birthday. Decided that having a hillside cottage would offer several features we would enjoy -- a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the bay. From the moment of our arrival things went well. The bellmen / front desk personnel are just wonderful in making one feel welcome. Know that even... More

"Tip of Hat' to terrific old-line hotel (1895) located at heart of quaint, too cute Sausalito, CA. Enjoyed 2nd wkend get-a-way in past 3 mths at Casa Madronna - relaxing at spa, walking to 5 star dinner on main street, enjoying in room breakfast delivered after simple phone call to front desk - great service, fine food. Simple relaxation on... More

The Casa Madrona suited our purpose well. We wanted a one night stopover outside San Francisco. Sausalito is a charming town that is an oasis of calm outside the big city. The Casa must have been conceived as a grand project some thirty years ago. The trouble is that time has moved on and the hotel hasn't. Our room looked... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel in September while visiting family. Our room was not a Bay view, a bit pricey if you don't plan on staying in your room much, but the room was lovely with a beautiful, big bathroom! The location of the hotel is perfect for catching the ferry, walking to restaurants, shopping...everything you would... More
