So we loved Sausalito, but not really this hotel. Their site really doesn't show you what it's like. The location, yes. That is great -- beautiful views of the boats, good food, but the hotel itself was less than desired. We found the room to be ONLY just clean, holes in the rug, holes in the comforter and the bathroom... more
This was the second time we’ve stayed at Casa Madrona Hotel and we opted for a more expensive Bay view room this time. We arrived a little early and were quickly checked in at the front desk and shown to our room by congenial staffers. We noticed that the coffee maker was missing; reported it and by the time we... more
Very nice room (Harbor View King) with a balcony overlooking the marina and San Francisco Bay. Some traffic noise during the day, but quiet at night. High quality furnishings and supplies, huge bathroom with two sinks, oversize tub, large shower stall. We had a great time. more
This hotel is a step above the rest! A quaint, comfortable place in the heart of Sausalito! Park your car and walk to all that Sausalito has to offer! The staff was exceptional upon check-in. Everyone was very attentive and courteous throughout our entire stay. The room we stayed in was spacious and had ample room to relax and enjoy... more
A friend recommended a night in Sausalito because of the wonderful views and the small cozy town. I found Casa Madrona through a google search and the description of rooms, the balcony and the views sounded perfect. When I heard the price of the room $279/night, I thought it was a bit expensive but I figured it was a really... more
It's a decent hotel in most respects. The view from the lower floors isn't as spectacular as the uphill cottages, but the rooms are nicer. It's a lot quieter on weekdays during the off season because downtown Sausalito closes up at 6:30. About the theft: The last time I stayed at the Casa Madrona, I was given a room where... more
My husband and I stayed at Casa Madrona on March 18th. I had originally booked a hotel in Tiburon, but the week before our trip, I decided to cancel it and I booked our room at Casa Madrona through TravelZoo because I had heard Sausalito was a nicer place to stay. Had I looked at the reviews on TripAdvisor like... more
my wife and I called to get a discount price for our Anniversary. They gave us a very good rate, plus an upgrade for our special day. Our room was on the 4th floor, room 546. I could hardly believe the value we got. The room was fabulous, with a hugh double tub, that my wife and I filled with... more
Avoid this place at all costs! We had heard this place was haunted, but, didn't pay much attention to it. Now, we're not supersitiious people. We were enjoying a bath, then all of the sudden the phone picked up speaker and dialed a person who said "she's unavailable indefinately". Then the phone picked up again and dialed the front desk.... more
