I totally DISAGREE with the uncomplimentary reviews I read about The Chumash Hotel and Spa!!! The hotel is very new and the rooms are gorgeous. (In nearby Solvang, the hotels are very old and rundown.) The location is convenient to the touristy Solvang and wine country. Aug. 12 & 13 07, We have stayed at Chumash about 10 times, we have always had a good time. The people are very friendly, the hotel is new and very clean and the room decor is awsome and comfy. We just stayed a night at this hotel. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We found the room to be fine. We got a AAA discount and then joined the casino club and got an extra discount off the room so the rate was quite good. The bed was comfortable, sheets and pillows were soft.
