We spent our fifteenth anniversary at the Santa Ynez Inn and couldn't have asked for a more romantic destination. Although the Inn looks like something built in the 1890s, it is in fact a modern building with spacious guest rooms and common areas and all the amenities one would expect in this price range. Included in the room rate is... more

And did I mention the food and wine? The other reviewers were right in raving about the warm staff, and the delicious breakfasts, snacks, wine and late desserts. Though I'm not a huge fan of Victorian decor- in the words of my husband this is a very well-built (2001) "no expense spared" place. This is from a contractor who works... more

My stay at the Santa Ynez Inn was wonderful. I was upgraded to a Jr. Suite (I went right after my birthday & was still celebrating). The breakfasts were wonderful & delicious; I ate each morning on the balcony of my room (try the cranberry/orange muffins -- yum!). The service was really great. In particular, Christina was very nice &... more

I can't say enough about the service at this beautiful B&B...all staff members were not simply polite; they went out of their way to make our stay the best ever! The breakfasts were outstanding, with generous portions. I particularly loved the ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and berries! The daily wine tastings, with cheese and appetizers and the 8-9:30 pm... more

Room was beautiful, whirlpool tub and separate shower, fireplace, four-poster bed, stereo system, oppulence. Staff is very professional. Peaceful town and Inn. The price was high, but for a honeymoon, we had to stay at this grand establishment. more

When we first arrived we were so impressed. From the outside the hotel is a real looker. A victorian looking building in the wine country. The stafff was friendly and took us to our room 201. Then the fun began. We changed our clothes and went to dinner. When we returned about 10 pm, it sounded like a boxer was... more

Delightful getaway for my husband and I. The room was tranquil and beautiful, the breakfast ample and thoughtfully presented, and the service was great. While there, take a half day cycling trip with Santa Barbara County cycling located just across the street. The combination makes for a wonderful and memorable time away! We will definately return to the Santa Ynez... more

We stayed on our recent wine tasting trip and loved this B&B. I'm normally not a Victorian-antique type person, but the hotel is beautiful, rooms comfortable, linens high quality, and the entire stay was a treat. I enjoyed the afternoon wine, evening dessert - and breakfast was really delicious. We also met a few other very nice couples; the atmosphere... more

I love Santa Barbara County wines, and have many of them in my cellar, but I usually don't love staying there, as there are so few good hotels/inns in the wine country there (Santa Ynez, Solvang, Los Olivos). Then I discovered the Santa Ynez Inn. It is an absolutely perfect destination inn for food and wine lovers who are in... more
