We had a very pleasant experience at the hotel. The room was clean and very reasonablly priced. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and professional. However, I would not recommend the resturant to anyone. The service was friendly and efficient but the food even though the place was pretty much empty, the food took a very long time.... More

We stayed at the Hillside Inn a year ago and were satisfied with our accomodations so we decided upon the Hillside Inn due to its rates, however when we called to inquire on the availability, we spoke with a very inhospitable person at front desk. We noted that the rates were lower the year before when we stayed and the... More

I have been to Santa Rosa more times than I can remember over the past thirty years, as well as having lived here and the local area for over ten yrs way back when. Saw this place often but never had occassion to stay there. I was to be in Santa Rosa for business and pleasure over the weekend of... More

Unbeatable value for families visiting the wine country. They have a number of two bedroom plus eat-in kitchen suites or apartments for just a few dollars more than a standard room. Hotel is a 50's style motel but is very clean and meticulously maintained. Rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable though not luxurious - (low thread count sheets and sachet... More

My parents were staying at the Hillside Inn while they came to visit me for the weekend. It was a nice enough place, it was clean, so I was happy. On Saturday my father had to go into the emergency room, and was finally trasferred to the hospital overnight, because the situation was life-threatening. My mother wanted to either stay... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here the night of Jan 21, 2005. From the outside, the place has the appearance of a dated but very-well kept up small 2-story motel. As for the interior of the room, there wasn't anything remarkable about it, but it was decently furnished and seemed very clean. And, like the other reviewers, felt the price... More

Good beds and spacious rooms, some even have a separate kitchen with a place to sit for coffee or to play a game. A picnic in the pool area is great on those warm Santa Rosa evenings. Who needs "fancy," when you can relax and feel at home?

My family and I have stayed at the Hillside for 40 years. Convenient, always clean, quiet, friendly, nice pool, not too expensive; a small family hotel. Perfect for most travelers. If you want room- service, evening wine tasting in the lobby, a work-out room / spa, and a conference center, this is not the place. I highly recommend the Hillside... More

We just spent a week in santa Rosa and used the hillside inn as our place to stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. It is close to everything we needed to be at and was no problem to go on day trips around sonoma county. The kids enjoyed the pool as much as possible... More

I must say that I have stayed there many times and I have not been disappointed. It is always clean and neat. The people who run the Inn are very warm and accomodating.
