We stayed for three nights while visiting family in Santa Rosa. Had a first floor room (143) at the back corner of the property near a plot of grass next to the pool. A great spot as it was quiet and also convenient for taking the dog out in the middle of the night. The grass area was even large enough... More

My two kids, 14 and 11, my wife and dog spent last Friday and Saturday at the Sandman. Overall it was pretty good. The room reeked of smoke and was a bit dirty. Being a "dog" room, I thought might be the reason. The pool was cold, but it is winter. The jacuzzi was nice. The breakfast was very good... More

The rooms are large - by British standards - and have all the gizmos: microwave, coffeemaker, etc. which we never use. Comfortable beds though a little light on covers for a chilly night. Really good breakfast - considering it was advertised as continental only! Loved the "bake your own waffles", plenty of juice, tea and most types of bread and... More

Sandman Motel is a budget property but you get a lot for your money. There are 4 two-story buildings with about 100 guestrooms, plus a swimming pool, hot tub and breakfast room. It's convenient to reach from 101 and close to a number of restaurants, gas stations and Trader Joe's. The double queen room we got was on the first... More

We planned a weekend in Santa Rosa and Sonoma, to visit wineries. This is an excellent location, right off the 101. The hotel is nicely appointed, but not fancy. Rooms are clean, Towels are good quality. Beds comfortable. Breakfast is deluxe continental...perfect if you like cereal or waffles. We would stay here again, if in the area.

The Sandman Inn Motel in Santa Rosa, close to Hwy 101, has a perfect location for a visit to the Sonoma Wine Country. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpfull. There is a nice breakfast room with all you need to get a good start (you can sit inside, or outside on the terrace, next to the pool).... More

Room was very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. It is a pet friendly hotel. There is a good sized pool and a hot tub. The continental breakfast had a good assortment: belgian waffles, sausage gravey & biscuits, cold cereals, fruit and assorted sweet rolls and different breads for toasting. Also in the hotel room was a refrigerator & microwave. There... More

The facility is older but very well maintained. Clean, comfortable, reasonably quiet, walking distance to a Carrow's, a great Vietnamese take-out place, and Trader Joe's. For this price, I'll happily give up elegance and be very satisfied with a pleasant good night's sleep. I found no problem with the breakfast facility--it was supervised by friendly staff and not crowded when... More

The accommodations are nice but the breakfast (included with the room) was a disaster. It is served buffet style in a very small building by the side of the swimming pool. But if you try to get breakfast while others are attempting the same, it is a body-squeeze, elbow-jab effort to get near the several tables on which the breakfast... More

Convenient to highways and shopping, but quiet, especially on the back side. Friendly service, very clean, well maintained. Not fancy, but has everything needed for a comfortable stay including a microwave and refrigerator in every room. If your plan is to spend your time out and about and aren't looking for something fancy -- the Sandman is a good choice.... More
