great experience. Amazing place to go with family and friends specially with kids. Highly recommend staying the night. If weather is cold, be sure to take warm cloths, thermal etch or possibly portable heater.

There were 15 of us .... Rented 3 cabins for 1 night and wow ... What a great way to end off the year!! Entire family had a terrific time. The BBQ which was very basic but the meat was vey well done meaning the seasoning and the BBQ was nice. Our tour guide Sam was awesome, very knowledgeable and... More

The most wonderful place! Stayed in a hillside tent cabin. Luxurious bed, nice bathroom, wonderful deck overlooking the animal watering hole! You can hear all the animals at night and they lull you to sleep. The 2 hour safari tour is the best! Very interesting and you see a lot of animals! Loved the newborn baby zebra! Get the dinner... It was a family outing with 2 boys. We had a reservation for 9am tour but got there around 8am. Worried a bit how to kill time but the gift shop was already open and the park was beautiful just to stroll around. Chelsea was our fantastic guide to walk us through small animals then took us on a jeep... More

We spent the night in a tent at Safari West. It was a really cold night, but as long as we were in bed with the electric blankets going we were okay. Everything was really clean and well done, definitely not roughing it! Flush toilets are included, TVs and cell service... not so much. The dinner buffet and Continental breakfast... More

Safari West is a beautiful place and for the price it should have been a much better experience. The tents are fun. Love the porches overlooking the property. Super comfy beds. It feels like grown up camping. Amp up the customer service folks! At $399/night there should be staff available to drive you around to the far away and up... More

I have to say this was better than I expected. We stayed overnight in the glamping tent and I would say if you can, stay overnight and get the full experience. We went with 4 adults and 5 kids and stayed in 2 tents. At night you can hear the birds and animals and they can get quite loud but... More

We had the most amazing time visiting Safari West! We stayed in a family tent with bunk beds which was such a fun experience with our children! We also ate both lunch and dinner at the BBQ and the food was really good, much better than we had anticipated!! Best of all was by far the actual safari! Our guide... More

We spent two days and one night enjoying the entire Safari experience. Safari West allows you choices I how you experience the "Safari". We choose to do all three options, 1) the tour around the preserve watching and learning about the animals. The guide was informative and fun. 2) we enjoyed the BBQ dinner. The food was very good, enjoyed... More

We stayed for one night in July 2015. We are always looking for unique lodging and experiences. Although the amount & variety of animals was limited, we still enjoyed the jeep & walking tour. At parts, it did feel more like a zoo than safari. The tents were very roomy, comfortable and clean. Loved sitting on the deck area before... More
