We stayed in a tent cabin with two queens overlooking the lake and hills (#29) and it was fabulous!! Large, well-appointed, not-too-kitschy African decor, wooden floors and full bathroom (with shower). There are heating blankets and comforters with great bedding making a night's sleep easy even with a cold night - also a space heater. It IS a tent -... More

We have been doing wine tours and parks and trolley rides and ferry rides. This portion of the trip was amazing due to what we saw, what we heard, how we were treated and what we learned. We saw and heard rhinoceros, flamingos and water buffalo. We were treated professionally, the animals were the focus, not the tip. We learned... More

Had a great experience at Safari West. Took our two boys, aged 11 and 9 they had a great time! Took the jeep tour - very informative and fun. Food is average - the kids loved it though. We took wine and cheese and ate it on our porch. We will definitely go back. It was perfect. We will definitely... More

after 6 days of wine tasting we needed a change of pace,so we tried glamping for a 1 night stay, before heading home. was very relaxing. no t.v.'s radios hairdryers, nothing but nature sounds. we didn't opt for the tour or the dinner. we had pizza delivered and just enjoyed our deck for the evening.

4 adults, 2 kids, we drove up for a day trip. We had a 10am tour booked, and were in a car with one couple. Everyone had a chance to ride up top. Our guide, Richard, obviously loves his job. He was very well informed, patiently answered all our questions and gave us a great rundown on all the animals.... More

Great time had by family of 6. Was freezing overnight at end of December unsurprisingly. Space heater sounded like jet landing in tent so could be more discrete. Tour of good length and easily digestible. Not too crowded. Would recommend.

My husband took me to Safari West to celebrate my birthday. We had the best time. Richard was our guide and he is so knowledgeable about the 400 acre park and animals in general. Richard kept us entertained all afternoon. We were lucky we went during the week and there were only four other adults with us and one boy,... More

We spent one night at Safari West - our group consisted of a couple with their baby, another mom with her son and a friend for her son. So there were 6 of us in one of the tents. We had a king size bed and bunk beds which were both double beds. We arrived at 4 pm, checked in... More

If you like exotic animals this is the place for you! The luxury tents are great! No TV! No Cell Service - except in one spot.... Get away from it all! You will get to your tent by jeep! They are far apart! Take the tours - Once in a lifetime!

I Loved every second except Leaving! Wish I had requested two nights, one was not enough. The bed is a heavenly cloud of comfort, warm and soft. The tent, is a tent, but I was perfectly comfortable. Exceptional customer service, I was driven back and forth when ever I wanted and promptly at the time expected. Dinner was so wonderful!... More
