I've stayed here a few times and have enjoyed my stays here. This is an older motel that was formerly a Travelodge back in the 90's here in Santa Paula,CA. and yes could use a little makeover and maybe some upgrades in certain areas, although the room decor is old or outdated they are kept clean and management is always... Room was ok, big for the tiny bed, but walls were filthy with unidentifiable stains in the room as well as hallway. Carpet was filthy and matted, very old. Towels were thin and felt disgusting even if they were clean. Bedding seemed ok, sticky gross coating on all the shelves of the entertainment center. TV was old and tiny. I... More

This motel needs a coat of paint, new carpets and...well, pretty much everything else. Tired decor, pillows that have been slept on until 1" high, an included "breakfast" that consists of Sunny Delight instead of real juice, bad coffee and a few sad sweet rolls and pastries. Room smelled stale, and a small dog's yapping came from the room next... More

My family and I arrived at the "ocean gateway inn" in Santa Rosa, Ca on July 5th 2013 around 9:30p.m., after spending the day at my son's baseball tournament. We were all very tired and looking forward to a relaxing, peaceful night of rest. We really had no issues with our check in except that we were placed on the... More

We stayed here twice within 10 days of each other. We rolled in from Oregon for an unplanned trip. We were short on cash and it was Friday night. The hotel seemed acceptable from the lobby but the rooms were just barely. We were told on our return we would only be charged $63.00 + tax because it was a... More

My reservation was made through a web site; therefore, I had no contact with the Inn personnel as far as the rate was concerned. However, there had been a few e-mail clarification messages that went on after the reservation between the manager and myself, which I appreciated, due to a cancellation for one room. No discussion of the room rates... More

My girlfriend and I decided to stay here as a way to save money on our weekend in Santa Barbara. We checked in @ 330 PM. We took our belongings to the room and then drove to the coast and spent the day in SB. We returned around 9pm and wanted to relax. We went to sleep about 11pm with... More

So its ok for a short stopover like we needed. The guy on the front desk was polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable however needs a revamp of interior decor. Could have done with some coffee/tea facilities in the rooms. We went down to breakfast and was really disappointed at the options - blueberry muffins, sweet pastries, bananas,... More

I read the reviews on this place from others and was hesitating to stay here. I gave it a chance figuring that management must have corrected the issues. IN FACT THEY HAVE. When I checked in I was greeted pleasantly. The check in was quick and easy. The guy at the desk even recommended a few places where I can... More

Just an overnight stop, we arrived late ish but the staff were helpful and directed us to the excellent Mexican restaurant next door, before it closed. The room was very good, spacious, clean and tidy. Breakfast was simple with limited places to sit and eat it, but good quality. Good value for money.
