Our 5 night stay at the historic Glen Tavern Inn was just incredible. From the moment we stepped in the front door, my husband & I felt like we stepped back in time 100 years. All the lovely photos we've seen of the Glen Tavern don't do it justice...you really need to see it for yourself. The Inn was very... more

My boyfriend and I were on our way to Santa Barbara...and couldn't book a single room there due to some big event. So we decided to take a scenic detour. We past through Ojai..and decided to keep going, and were glad we did. That's how we found the Glen Tavern Inn...this is a owner run boutique hotel. It is historic...but... more

Call and ask the staff directly before booking your room whether there are any events/concerts happening on the night of your stay. We booked the room online (& they couldn't find our reservation at 1st) for a little weekend getaway based on the many positive reviews here. There was a band playing in the driveway to an afternoon crowd when... more

We stayed here one night on our way to San Luis Obispo and I have to say that this place is like stepping back in time. Beautiful craftsman architecture which they try to stay true to. Some of the pieces of furniture in the rooms are not of the period but are older. They make a sincere attempt at keeping... more

We come often and can't wait for our next visit each time we leave. Accommodations are lovely, attendants are curteous and helpful and the owners have an acute sense of what hospitality truly means. We look forward to our future visits. more

My husband and I recently visited Santa Paula for a romantic weekend getaway. We had heard many good reviews about the Glen Tavern Inn and were excited to stay in this newly renovated historic hotel. We are always are looking for hotels that are off the beaten path and guess what this hotel is everything we hoped for and more.... more

My wife and I were in CA for a wedding. We just spent a few days in a boutique hotel in San Diego. The staff was polite and professional, but the chrome and glass ultra modern decor left us with a cold feeling and extras such as wi-fi,bottled water, and parking were a la cate. The Glenn Tavern Inn has... more

Although the Glen Tavern Inn has been restored, it appears to still be very much the hotel that opened in Santa Paul nearly 100 years ago. The lobby and rooms are much improved from the hotel's days as a residential hotel not that many years ago, but there is no mistaking this hotel for a Marriot Courtyard. Instead, the hotel... more

Tiny bathroom, shower head at navel. Lobby and main entrance dirty. Not enough towels for three people. The hotel personnel were never available. If this is nice for Santa Paula- than I'll be staying out of town next time. i stayed here base on previous reviews- that must have been highly exagerated. more

While looking for a new place in Southern California to hold our Ghost Hunters Conference, I was told to check out this hotel. When I first approached the hotel, it was much more attractive than I expected. It looked like a hotel that belonged in a wooded area than in a town and was beautiful. I checked in and had... more
