I had seen the Glen Tavern Inn for years, but had never stayed here. The hotel is over 100 years old, across from the equally historic Santa Paula Train Station. But last weekend, we gave it a try. We arrived late, around 10 pm, and found the private parking lot at the rear of the hotel very well lit. Entering... More

I travel extensively for my job and I've stayed in nearly every form of accommodation known to man-- from elite luxury hotels, to family-run B&Bs, to sketchy motels that have the only vacancy in town. This hotel beats them all. It's a stunning piece of historical property with a sense of authentic grandeur of the past that few hotels can... More

Historic can be cool..If you don't mind listening to your neighbors through the walls. The stains all over the drab carpeting. My bed was short sheeted, didn't quite fit the uncomfortable historic springy stiff bed, maybe the ghosts were having a little fun. The room seemed kind of clean as long as you didn't look close or look up. It... More

Booked 3 nights, only stayed 2. Had business in Santa Paula and figured it would be nice be close to the conference. Family came with me, and my wife was excited for this hotel because she likes historical places and "haunted" places. When I told the locals at the conference where I was staying, they were surprised and suggested I... More

My daughter and I checked in not knowing the history of this Inn! What a fun evening we had reading stories and learning the history! We walked to dinner (the restaurant was not open at the time we arrived), safe small town! Got a snow cone from the local snow cone stand and enjoyed the beautiful weather! The vintage hotel... More

The service is the best! Friendly and informative front desk staff, and the owners, Tom and Rosanna, are often in the lobby, ready to visit. While we did not eat at the restaurant, it has a great reputation in the town.

Just spent the night at the Glen Tavern Inn, first time. I had a business meeting in the area so combined it with a quick getaway with the wife. Reservations easy, and actually showed up at 12 noon because of the meeting. The clerk said checkin was 3 but he could try to arrange a early checkin in perhaps an... More

We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The lobby is huge and amazing with lots of comfortable seating areas and with an elegant ambiance. The front desk was friendly, courteous and accomodating. They were happy to answer all of our questions. We enjoyed the full bar but didn't try the restaurant (it looked good though). Our room... Awesome and friendly hotel! That last thing you want when you escape the big city is to encounter that impatient big city attitude. I booked a night for my gf and I's anniversary online, I called prior to our arrival to get parking info, dinner reservations and checkin/checkout time and was surprisingly told that we were upgraded to the penthouse...
