We enjoyed our one night at the Travelodge. We had room 211 in the second building. It was a nice size with a king bed. There was a separate "kitchen" room with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, safe and coffee maker. The counter top looked like granite. There was a table with two chairs. This room lead to the bathroom which... More

More like a 2.5 review We wanted to be by the beach during the holidays, and this place was highly reviewed on here. Long story short, it fell below our expectations. Parking - Free, which was nice. Some spaces were somewhat tight, but most were adequate. Breakfast - Free, but not very good. Maybe if you are a light eater... More

This is my second visit to this hotel and both times were great. I couldn't ask for a better location with Trader Joes just a block away. A short ride to the Santa Monica Pier. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rates are very affordable. In my future trips I will stay here again for sure.

The room was adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable and as a plus, the room came with a fridge and a microwave. It was a little smallish, but again adequate. The night manager who greeted us was very friendly and informative. He knew the area well and we took his recommendation for a breakfast place. It was good!... More

We chose this place based on a kitchenette, but most standard hotel rooms with microwaves and mini fridges are about the same as the kitchenette we got. Tiny room. Impossibly small table the size of a one-person round bistro table, nothing two people could use to eat at. No real desk space as old school desk with lamp left no... More

I was hoping this place would be great as I need to be in town weekly and stay somewhere each time for work but it was literally the worst bed I've ever slept on and could barely move the next morning. Everything else about the room was good, clean etc.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
