The woman on the phone was very nice and after I asked for an upstairs room (as others have said the hardwood floors can make for a noisy night for downstairs guests) she said none were available but she would put us in a "courtyard" room. We travelled route 66 over 3 weeks and stayed in many many hotels along the way. We arrived here late and got a one bed room suite. What a great place, a stones trow from the beach. Stayed 3 days in Sept, loved the location. Walked up and down the beach, on the pier, into town.
