We ended our trip to California with 3 nights at the Fairmont Miramar. It was a great choice, we were upgraded to a bungalow upon arrival and as it was our honeymoon we were sent champagne, strawberries with chocolate dip and a fruit platter plus welcome card - thought this was such a great touch! All the staff we met... More

My Boyfriend and I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel in May and had a wonderful time. I booked the hotel through a special offer/discounted price, so wasn't sure what would happen. It was also my boyfriends birthday so I told them that when making the reservation, someone called the next day and asked nicely how old was he going to... More

Family of Four (2 kids, 6 & 8 yrs old) spent 4 days/3 nights at Fairmont Hotel Santa Monica. Upon check-in, was upgraded from a Palisade Grand Suite to a 2-floor Bungalow Suite. We're somewhat of a "hotel snob"...have stayed on vacation at Ritz or Four Seasons. Can say without a doubt service was awesome and comparable to other top... More

This hotel is a tropical paradise right out of Hawaii. Extremely lush landscaping, gorgeous lighting & grounds make this hotel stand out head & shoulders above any hotel experience I have had in LA. The pool is gorgeous & warm, surrounded by palm trees, elegant chaise lounges, plenty of umbrellas, and hot & cold running pool boys who bring you... More

One night stopover in LA. Hotel seems like a lovely oasis in busy Santa Monica. Beautiful garden/pool area to unwind in. Booked cheapest room but given a free upgrade to a poolside bungalow. Pleasant room -but fairly standard hotel room -would not have wanted to pay market price for it. Very attentive, pleasant staff. Many restaurants nearby. Walking distance to... More

We spent 4 nights in Santa Monica at the Fairmont. We had an ocean view room with a balcony. The room was a bit small but luxurious. The entry way to the hotel is beautiful with an Australian Fig tree that we couldn't look at enough. The staff was helpful and friendly, especially the door men. We could walk across... More

We stayed at the Miramar for 3 nights in an Ocean Tower room. The service was excellent - on par with the service at the Ritz Carlton. After just a day, everyone knew our names and greeted us personally, helped us with our rental car, sent packages back home, gave restaurant recommendations, and assisted with a very easy room change.... This place is so beautiful - we were upgraded to a bungalow and absolutely loved it! The hotel is located near the shopping and easy access to the path over the ocean. The service was fantastic and the vibe is very relaxed and yet it makes you feel glamorous. I would recommend staying at this hotel - we found it... More

I stayed there with my family for 2 nights. I got a reasonable rate through my company so I didn't find it too expensive. Yes they gouge you on valet parking. But great affordable dining is available walking distance for the hotel. Our room was large(425 sq ft) and well appointed. The service was outstanding. We were traveling with our... More

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and the whole stay was fantastic! We arrived to the hotel in th evening and were checked in quickly with no problems. Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
