The Fairmont Miramar Hotel was an amazing place to stay. The staff are nice, genuine and very helpful. The rooms were clean and roomy. Everything about this trip was perfect!! Would definitely stay there again.

After taking a red-eye flight from Maui to Los Angeles and graciously being offered an early check in at the Intercontinental Century city, we decided to have a late lunch, I had already rescheduled it from 9AM to 11AM. They offered the breakfast menu and I had the chilaquiles, they were really hot! My mom had eggs and bacon, with... More

Loved staying here. Perfect location. Ocean view room had a balcony which was refreshing after staying in Hollywood. Staff were helpful & friendly, complimentary town car was fantastic. Location was great with shops, restaurants and the Santa Monica pier all in easy walking distance.

We only had a night at the Fairmont and Santa Monica but we loved our stay at the Fairmont. Check in, Valet, Room service, Driver, Housekeeping - all were of a superior standard, oh so lovely, friendly and warm. The location is gorgeous and close to where you want to be. Shopping was accessible and the pier a short walk,... More

This is an amazing property. The location is unbeatable! You are just 2 blocks down from Third Street Promenade so plenty of shopping and dining in the area and the Ocean is just right down the hill. Easy access to everything. My wife and I came to town for a romantic weekend. We drove up from San Diego so we... More

Stayed March 14-16. As other reviewers mentioned, we were offered an upgrade to a suite upon check-in-I had reserved a deluxe ocean view with two beds and a balcony so I was skeptical that it was an upgrade ,so upon further questioning it was clear that the upgrade was in the older wing of the building without a balcony or... Dear lizter3 – Any time I see a “but…” it makes me nervous, and I think this one was the result of some unfortunate miscommunication, certainly not deception. For three people, our Ocean Tower rooms can become a bit tight - even in those with two beds as the room does not accommodate a rollaway. While our Palisades Suites do... More

Recently had the pleasure of staying at the hotel for 3 nights during the LAMarathon. It was fantastic. We had a 7th floor room facing the beach and overlooking the pool. Very quiet. Sunsets were beautiful. Ate breakfast at FIG and it was wonderful. Great location. Within walking distance to everything. Thank you to all of the staff for being... More

Dear SChan13 – Thank you so much for the 5 stars! Especially over LA Marathon weekend we know things can get a bit hectic on the outside, so I’m so happy you were able to rest and relax while you were here. We can’t wait to welcome you back either! Carly Skinner Director of Rooms More

The Hotel is beautiful and appears to have a very welcoming and lively atmosphere. The only thing that I did not enjoy was the view from my window in the 1st floor. My view was of two yellow forklifts, parked cars and lot's of noisy people walking by. Next time I will demand an ocean view. All the staff was... More

Dear Esperanza A – Thank you for taking the time to post a review, but I’m so sorry you didn’t enjoy the room. We have rooms with views of all kinds – city view, pool view, property view, and of course, ocean view. Upgrades are not always available, so if your preferred view is not what was booked then our... Wonderful hotel and great location. Be sure you get the room you've paid for though. We booked an ocean view and were proudly told we had been upgraded to a suite. The suite was on the 4th floor of the old building overlooking the roof of the spa and no ocean view or balcony. They were responsive to our disappointment... More

Dear John W – Thank you so much for your review! I’m sorry you did not like the upgrade – we had upgraded you to one of our newly renovated suites, but I understand if you prefer the balcony and ocean breeze from the Ocean Tower. Now we know for next time, and look forward to welcoming you back! Carly... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
