Beds and pillows are so comfortable and since our family of 2A 4C 11,9,6,4 years old this was my only criteria when looking for accommodation on our 5 week trip to USA, as we only slept in the rooms. Located on a main road with plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a pharmacy all within walking distance. Bus stop... More

Be advised that you are staying at a Motel - not a Hotel. Our bad experience began shortly after check in. We arrived in Santa Monica on a 95 degree day. After squeezing in the small, musty smelling elevator, we arrived to our sweltering hot room. We immediately turned the air on to find it blowing out hot air. We... More

Conveniently located to our destination. The hotel has suffered from significant deferred maintenance. Peeling paint, broken tiles, etc. The breakfast was pretty good but nothing special. The staff seemed attentive so the resolution needs to be addressed to the ownership.

Very small rooms, hand basin in bedroom and very bad pressure on the shower head. We had three suitcases with us as we were on our way towards Florida. We checked into a room on the third floor, took the lift up but had problems reaching our room because people were smoking outside their room and the space between their... More

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I would like to sincerely apologize you were not pleased with the size of your room. We do have a lot of different types of rooms and some of our standard rooms are definitely not as large as others. I assure you that our entire... More

This was perfect place for our stay in Santa Monica. Comfortable rooms and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was AMAZING!! Yummy .... it was buffet style and would keep you full till late afternoon! It was a bit of walk to beach maybe about 30 mins walking slowly. Although there is skateboard shop next door we bought skateboards... More

Stayed there over New Years as our first port of call after arriving LAX. The hotel is in a good location, right on route 66. There is adequate parking and amenities close by such as laundrette, pharmacy, bar, star bucks, and carl jnr. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are a decent size, they were clean, with good room amenities.... More

Rooms were slightly on the smaller side, but were very clean and comfortable. Lots of options for breakfast. Not as close to the pier as I originally expected, but was a short car journey away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Stayed here two nights. Moved to Days Inn down the street for last two nights (see review); it's much better! Comfort Inn was "Ok". The shower curtain had a couple holes in it and the message light kept flashing on the phone even after several attempts by the front desk to clear it. Said they'd replace it or fix it... More

The room was nice and cozy. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was great, sausage ham and eggs...no bacon :( Microwave and mini refrigerator was available in the room. Nice central location for Santa Monica Pier, Malibu, Los Angeles and Hollywood. Cannot see why anyone would give this hotel less than a 4!!!! If you want something bigger suggest go into... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
