Having read some of the reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by my room, which was spacious and newly decorated (although they could do with replacing the ancient gas heater, which looked a bit dodgy). While they are apologetic on signs all over the place that they are refurbishing, it's not so bad, really. I was disappointed when I checked in to this hotel as the rooms were in serious need of an update. It felt like a shabby motel with peeling walls and a worn carpet.
