This art deco boutique hotel is fabulous! Right across from the famous Santa Monica Pier and steps from the Promenade! Great little veranda area to have a cocktail or breakfast overlooking the beach and the Pier. Excellent restaurants and lots of shopping and sightseeing nearby. One of the best thing for me . . . the best are very comfortable!... More

The location of this hotel could not be more perfect, right on Ocean Ave overlooking the beach with a slight view of the pier. Came here as a surprise trip for my grandmother and she loved the old vintage charm of the hotel and I loved the old décor. The bright blue paint on the exterior was very inviting and... More

We had one night sleepover to get rid of the jetlag after the long flight from Australia - the hotel looked great on the website and didn't disappoint in "the flesh".... Situated right across from the pier, with a pleasant balcony restaurant outside, the place is gently nostalgic and very art deco. We were there very early and the room... More

Great service seems to be disappearing from the hotel industry these days. Thank goodness there’s the Georgian Hotel on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. Step into this unique property right in the middle of all the action of Santa Monica’s Ocean front scene and you step back in time to a mindset where personal service is the theme of the... More

Got a great deal to stay here for one night to enjoy Santa Monica pier. Accomodation: The hotel had an old world feel with class. I loved the decor and it's quite charming. This is a solid 4 star hotel that I took a star off due to snooty front desk service and astronomical parking fees however that is to... More

The Georgian is slightly more affordable than most hotels near the waterfront, but still rather expensive. For the price paid I expected more soundproofing in the walls. I could hear the neighbors talking and their children crying/screaming much more than I would have liked. I heard no street or people noise from outside the hotel. The room and bed were... More

The Georgian Hotel lived up to its claim - a modern boutique luxury hotel with a classic art deco style. Its eccentric colors can be spotted from anywhere on the beach in Santa Monica. The rooms are small, quaint and charming. I don't require a particularly large room so it was fitting in my opinion for 1-2 guests. I had... More

First off, we have never stayed in this hotel. We live in Santa Monica, this isnt a hotel review. That said, The Georgian is a total fav. An iconic building with a great local history and an amazing location. Back in the day in early hollywood Santa Monica might as well have been a million miles away. This is where... More

It was a nice place, but not worth all the money to me. Me and my boyfriend stayed for 2 nights, well over 900, not including parking. The hotel was cute and clean, but rooms were tiny! I see a lot of complaints about the noise, we were on the top floor and I didn't notice much noise at all.... More

What a great place. Very cozy with days of yesteryear charm. The staff is over the top friendly, accommodating and respectful. Words of caution; This is an older Hotel as such paper thin walls. Not so much adjacent room noise but Ocean blvd Traffic. AND a south side room gives you views into the apartment building next store where we... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
