Stayed 2 nights upon arriving from Australia. Great location 20 minute taxi ride from LAX airport. The staff accommodated an earlier checkin which was greatly appreciated given our jet lag and time difference. Hotel has remnants of Art Deco features crossed with rustic modern flair. Room clean and comfortable, I agree with previous reviews get a room from 6th floor... More

This hotel is absolutely charming as are the staff. It is perfectly situated for everything in Santa Monica and nothing is too much trouble. It is very old by American standards but beautifully maintained in what I assume its its original style and layout. My only regret was penny pinching as this stay was at the end of our tour... More

Our stay at The Georgian Hotel was a fab start to our honeymoon. The check-in desk staff were very helpful & provided us with a map & gave a few recommendations. Our room had a fantastic view of the beach, which we could see sat in bed - not a bad view at all!! The room was clean & the... More

This was our first family vacation to Santa Monica. The Georgian has a nice boutique feel. Right across the street from the Santa Monica beach, we had a nice ocean view room. We just had breakfasts at the hotel, but the food was good and reasonably priced for what was served. Lots of good restaurants at various price points within... More

Location is great, staff is extremely attentive and eager to please. We had a suite, which was great, but were told the regular rooms are very small. The Art Deco look adds to the charm. Pricy, but so is Santa Monica, in general.

Stayed here for one night - wish we could have stayed for longer! This hotel is in the perfect location, right across the road from the beach, as well as easy walking distance to Third St Promenade, and lots of restaurants. We had an ocean view room, which had the perfect view of Santa Monica Pier. The rooms are on... More

The location is absolutely spot on. The staff is courteous too. The experience of staying there doesn't match the price. The lift is way too slow at the hotel. The rooms are very clean, neat and tidy, but for the price, it should have been a couple of notches above the current level. I stayed for a night and I'm booked... More

This hotel is ideally situated right on Ocean Avenue - you can see Santa Monica beach just across the road. Nothing was too much trouble - the staff were courteous, polite and always helpful. Each time we were seen in the Reception we were always welcomed by " good morning, good afternoon " etc. Although not a " modern "... More

The hotel is in a perfect beachfront location near the (tacky) pier. We had a suite with sea view which was excellent. The staff were very helpful though the service at breakfast could be a little slow. Only downside was the poor wi fi. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples or families.

We love these small boutique hotels. The rooms was huge and well appointed. Everything was well maintained. The view of the beach and pier is wonderful. The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. There are lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance plus lots of shopping areas. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
