Humid smell, bad restroom, small room, itchy bedding sheets, high price for not that much good of quality and service. It was a quick stay that I found but never will I go there again. Sorry but it can be a better hotel if it gets fixed and remodeled.

I stayed in this hotel the other day- a few hours sleep - and woke up with about 160 bedbug bites. The room was filthy, the bed full of bugs, the bathroom awful and the walls were like paper. You can look up the hotel at the bedbug registry and see that bedbugs are reported regularly-- so if you want... More

I have to say that the staff was friendly but that doesn't compensate for the smell, the terrible maintenance of the rooms, the stains all over sheets and towels and the bugs on the bed. Overall a really bad experience.

Had I been told that in the heart of LA I could find a place like this one I wouldn't have believed. And yet I found a place so disgusting that I had to leave it in the middle of night searching for a better shelter. ... You find yourself in a pretty small box as you walk in. The... More

To give you an idea of this 'Bates Motel Pt Deux' ... upon driving into the 'parking lot' there were 2 vehicles parked next to each other passing something from car to car - then money. Hummmm.... Oh wait, there was a truck that was being worked on / or at least had been stripped or being worked on and... More

We are from England and have been travelling round USA for 4 weeks. We have therefore stayed in loads of motels and all have been fantastic. This one however was the worst place we have ever stayed in. And believe me I've stayed in some shockers. I've never done a trip advisor review before but this place was that disgusting... More

All right well, when I told my friend, who’s lived in Santa Monica for years within about a mile of this place, that I’d booked a room here, she told me horror stories about it. I discussed this with my husband and we decided to go and have a look and if it was truly atrocious we’d bite the bullet... More

It was awful from the beginning. Hundreds of roaches in my room, crawling up the walls, onto the bed. A towel on the bathroom floor that looked like it had been there for years. The sink grate hadn't been cleaned in ages. Cigarette burns on the walls, on the tables, on the curtains. The lock barely worked (you could have... More

I always thought that if the wife isn't with me, I could stay anywhere. I retract that. I hit bottom here. I gonna be far more careful from here on. I had to wake the sleeping attendant to get the key. The guy was verbally abusive and kept calling me stupid. After I saw the room, I thought he might... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
