I am terribly sorry for the people who work there, maybe they are trying to do a good job, but this place needs to be demolished and rebuilt. After reading reviews i decided to stay for a couple nights to see if it was as horrid as described. And I must say Nasty is good compared to what this place... More

In all my travels the worst place I've ever been in, beyond dirty.. nasty! The management not just rude but insulting and money grubbing. I will say the worst/best part because it was so outrageous that it was funny was the mental patient they let out -off meds, and now welcoming the guest with warm insane rasist/bigoted coments! At least... More

2 hours sleep before the bed bugs struck. Room disgusting. Furniture falling apart. Do not be fooled by the price into thinking it can't be all that bad. Easily the worst motel experience we have had outside of the Third World. You have been warned!

We had to leave because the place is so nasty. It's a holiday weekend so of course there was nowhere to stay without notice at midnight. It was worth the four hour drive home in the middle of the night to get out of this nasty, moldy, bug infested hell hole. On top of that, there was someone passed out... More

Humid smell, bad restroom, small room, itchy bedding sheets, high price for not that much good of quality and service. It was a quick stay that I found but never will I go there again. Sorry but it can be a better hotel if it gets fixed and remodeled.

I stayed in this hotel the other day- a few hours sleep - and woke up with about 160 bedbug bites. The room was filthy, the bed full of bugs, the bathroom awful and the walls were like paper. You can look up the hotel at the bedbug registry and see that bedbugs are reported regularly-- so if you want... More

I have to say that the staff was friendly but that doesn't compensate for the smell, the terrible maintenance of the rooms, the stains all over sheets and towels and the bugs on the bed. Overall a really bad experience.

Had I been told that in the heart of LA I could find a place like this one I wouldn't have believed. And yet I found a place so disgusting that I had to leave it in the middle of night searching for a better shelter. ... You find yourself in a pretty small box as you walk in. The... More

To give you an idea of this 'Bates Motel Pt Deux' ... upon driving into the 'parking lot' there were 2 vehicles parked next to each other passing something from car to car - then money. Hummmm.... Oh wait, there was a truck that was being worked on / or at least had been stripped or being worked on and... More

We are from England and have been travelling round USA for 4 weeks. We have therefore stayed in loads of motels and all have been fantastic. This one however was the worst place we have ever stayed in. And believe me I've stayed in some shockers. I've never done a trip advisor review before but this place was that disgusting... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
