Arriving very early, hours before check-in time and after the relatively long haul from Sydney, I was greeted by Rachel as though I was an old friend. Invited to partake of breakfast, use the lounge and just 'hang out' until my room was ready, I knew I had found my LA home. Charming bedrooms, cosy lounge area and attention to... More

Stayed 2 nights here as we wanted somewhere to relax and get in road trip mode after a long flight from UK. We weren't disappointed, staff were very welcoming and helpful, breakfast variety was delicious, sitting room where tea and coffee available all day very relaxing. Yes it's next to a road but we sat for ages on the porch... More

Whilst located at the northern end of Santa Monica, there are still eating options within a short walk. Wifi worked ok in common areas but not a major issue for us. Free afternoon tea for guests was a bonus and the manageress was very helpful at arranging transport for us to Staples and airport. Room was not massive (cosy queen)... More

This was our third stay - great food, location and atmosphere. We love this inn and will likely return but our recent stay highlighted a critical limitation. My husband was working for half of each day while I explored the area but was greatly hindered by the wifi speed. He was unable to use the wifi in our room for... More

Channel Road Inn is located about a block from the beach and is a great choice of places to stay in Santa Monica. It is very welcoming with a wonderful staff, yet small enough to pay a lot of attention to the guests. From the home baked cookies that greet you on arrival in your room, to the lovely wine... More

My husband and I were in California and decided to spend the last night in a Santa Monica Bed and Breakfast. We chose the Channel Road Inn based on its reviews. We booked a large queen room with a fireplace. Unfortunately we heard traffic from the road all evening and morning. We also had to complete some business and the... More

Thank you for taking the time to share you feedback. Of course we were extremely saddened to read that you were disappointed with your stay. Located in the heart of vibrant Santa Monica, we do, on occasion, experience the sounds of the city but hope to offer a quiet, relaxing oasis that our guests will enjoy. I am sure you... More

This is our "goto" place when visiting in Santa Monica. A warm, friendly greeting and the aroma of home baked cookies, readily available Coffee & Tea, afternoon snacks and a glass of wine, a welcoming fire and comfy seating in the living room, all of that and a good breakfast; always fresh fruit, yogurt, an ever changing Fritata, boiled eggs,... I lived in Santa Monica for 25 + years and have stayed at many wonderful places in the area since moving to Jackson Hole ten years ago. The Channel Road Inn is a wonderful place to stay as an alternative to a hotel. It has all the grace and charm of a Bed and Breakfast one might find in a... More

We stayed here at the end of a California road trip. It is an old house which is very well kept up. I found the two innkeepers to be very helpful, warm, and very helpful. We really loved our room. It was on the 3rd floor and was very quiet and overlooked the garden. Couldn't have asked for a nicer... More

To some, The Channel Road Inn may be exactly what they are looking for. I hope it is, but for us it didn't hit the mark. On our arrival we were welcomed wholeheartedly, but were given a room on the ground floor overlooking the busy road. Obviously the door opened but the windows didn't. Sleeping at night, sealed into a... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and your kind comments regarding our welcoming staff and large, clean accommodations. I was very sorry to read that you found the temperature of your guestroom too warm as we continually strive to ensure our guests’ comfort. On chilly winter evenings we open the warm air vents in the guestrooms... More
