What a privilege to have stayed at this beautiful, quaint Hotel near the sea. This establishment definitly lives up to its name.I had been going to Cali since 92 but came upon this place in 2003 and never looked back.I became a frequent guest after having stayed at LA' best hotels. Seaview Motel was the best kept secret in Santa... More

Must be called Seaview from before when all the buildings blocked its view. Thin walls, sex noises from other room, thumping from upstairs from people simply walking around, lumpy spongy beds, noisy road, felt dirty and cheap. Close to everything and that's it. You don't get much in Santa Monica for this price. I dont have a lot of money... More

Had a great stay here for a quick winter getaway. Loved the close proximity to the beach - went boogie boarding every morning! Good base location to travel out to all the Hollywood & Beverly Hills attractions too. Staff was extremely friendly & helpful, especially when it came to saving me a handicapped parking spot right out front. The rooms... More

We are so happy you enjoyed your winter getaway! Our hotel is a great affordable place to escape the bitter cold that is across the country. Boogie boarding in January, amazing! Send us an email before your next visit and we can make sure to keep an eye out for returning guests. More

Have vacationed to Santa Monica multiple times and always enjoyed my stay at the Seaview Hotel!! Modern style rooms that are very clean. The location is amazing with the Santa Monica Pier being just a few minutes from the hotel. Great ocean views from the rooftop porch! Highly recommend checking out the Seaview Hotel!!

Ok, so a lot of the complaints are no amenities. It was a quick walk to the beach and the famous Santa Monica Pier. I stayed there for 3 days and had a great time. There is a coffee shop right next door that also offers breakfast. There was a refrigerator in the room. It had an "old" style that... More

Just needed somewhere cheap and central in the area but would rather drive than stay here again. Worst, most expensive place we stayed on our 3 weeks in the US Walls were so thin we could hear people having sex in the room next door at 4am. No tea coffee making facilities. Shower rose was blocked or something and had... More

Room LOOKS good, clean, a little dining area, but then you realize there are NO AMENITIES, no phone, clock, soap, shampoo (or space for them), washcloth, hand-towel, breakfast, coffee, coffee-maker, or microwave--manager was kind enough, but apparently thought us MOST unreasonable to expect ANY of the above. Difficult narrow parking area (and not enough of them, unless you have a... More

There was very little privacy. Paper thin walls. No AC!!! Just two fans in one room. The curtains were paper thin. On one window there was not enough curtains to cover it up. One window had a lock missing. There was not enough parking. It was close to the beach and they did give me a cash price discount.

We are sincerely apologize for your less than positive experience at our hotel. I will speak with the Front Desk Manager and make sure the window lock and curtains are replaced in the room you stayed in. We hope you enjoyed the beach while staying here! More

I stay here every time I come to LA. Rosa and Jeff are like family and always look out for me. The rooms are great and some have kitchenettes. Great restaurants close by as well as the Santa Monica Pier. I love the place. Jack

Thank you for the nice review Jack! I am glad you were able to enjoy the kitchenette even with all the amazing restaurants on the Third Street Promenade. I will make sure Jeff and Rosa see your kind words about them, they really do a great job. Hope we see you again soon! More

Real gem with 5 mins walking distance to the Santa Monica Pier. Manage to book this room at a unbeatable price in the vicinity. Accommodation comes with free parking, limited though, which was a plus considering many accommodations would require additional resort fee etc. I was given room 12, which was relatively clean. Room was equipped with heater, TV, fridge... More

We try and maintain a great affordable price for our guests, we are happy you thought so as well! We only have so many parking spaces, however, we do have additional overflow spaces should spots become limited. Thank you again and what a great photo you took from the balcony, December and January have some of the best sunsets. We'll... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
