We have stayed at The Ambrose several times. We love it. My best friend lives up the street, so the location is great for us. I love the rooms. The breakfast is such a nice convenience and really yummy. The staff is great. more

Stayed 3 nights at the Ambrose in July in one of their rooms with dark hardwood floors. The room itself is definitely worthy of a 5-star hotel. Beds, linens, flooring and decor are top notch and contemporary in style. I don't like to complain - especially when I'm travelling for free (for business) but I felt I ought to write, just to make sure that there is another voice to balance the amazing impression given by the hotel website. Read the TA reviews before we booked and I'd say we got exactly what we expected and were looking for. The hotel was reasonably priced (not cheap, but it's LA), very clean, nice decor. It's not close enough to the Santa Monica pier to walk...the front desk folks were honest enough to tell us it was a 40 minute walk... more
