We stayed two nights in a one bedroom suite with living and dining area and separate kitchen but no kettle. This was to become a recurring theme in our recent trip to the States. Apart from having to boil water for our tea in a saucepan we loved this place. Very comfortable and roomy and the moorish architecture was beautiful.... more

My 21 year old son, and 20 year old daughter and I had a great stay at the Embassy Hotel Apartments. We stayed in a studio appartment and were very comfortable. The building itself is older and quite beautiful and there is a nice feeling to the apartments because of the layout and the many windows. For the location and... more

My fiance and I chose this hotel as we wanted to stay in Santa Monica, close to the ocean and to the nightlife. This hotel didn't disappoint! You're within minutes of the very trendy 3rd St promenade, as well as of the ocean. The building itself is really charming, old Spanish style. It is a shame that the bedrooms are... more

Stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with husband and 4 year old daughter for 3 nights. The apartment was huge and had lovely comfortable furniture. I particularly loved the balcony that opened off the living area. The building is beautiful and obviously well looked after. The location was excellent. The 5 minute walk to the 3rd Street promenade was easy... more

I had high hopes for this place but was under-whelmed. The place felt haunted. Rickety staircases, quiet creepy hallways, and an elevator with a mind of its own. The bathrooms are a step back in time - built in medicine cabinets, subway tiles, old windows. The single bed room felt like a full size, not queen. Decor on the walls... more

Stayed here four nights and the Embassy booked two tours for us - one to disneyland, one to universal studios/LA city tour - you get picked up at the door of the apartment so perfect for people travelling without a car. As kiwis, first time in LA, this was the best place to stay - five minute stroll to 3rd... more

The one bedroom suite was perfect for having a 16 month old. She was able to have breakfast because we had the kitchen, and enough room to run around! We loved it! more

I just spent 2 nights at Embassy. We had room 111, a very large and gracious one bedroom apartment oozing with 1920's charm. The living room dining room was huge with beautiful windows overlooking the entry gardens. It had a long and arched patio too! The bedroom was likewise extremely large with 2 giant closets. The bathroom was old but... more

The hotel itself is set in a semi residential district just a stone's throw from Santa Monica beach. On the outside it's quite grand with nicely kept gardens, and as you move into the building the lobby is also well appointed and quite impressive. Upstairs the rooms are very spacious and with all the facilities you will need but they... more
