After a slightly stressful drive through the LA traffic (it was the day of the Lakers parade) we arrived in Santa Monica and the Seashore Motel. This was one of our overnight stops on our way to Palm Springs. This is a really good budget option with friendly helpful staff. in a great location right on Main Street, only 2... more

The Sea shore motel is a very practical, good value motel. The location is good (could have done with being a little further into the centre but you would then pay for that), the rooms are fine, and the service is good. We did not spend long in the rooms as we were so busy so they were fine, no... more

We stayed at this motel when we arrived in LA and before we left to fly back to Australia. 6 days in total). This was a great choice, very clean, close to public transport, 2 blocks from the beach, you could walk to Santa Monica Pier. There were plenty of eat places and coffee shops just near. The owners were very... more

I stayed at the motel on a business trip for two weeks and it was a good choice. Location is very good, you can even get around the area even without a car because several buses stop close by. Cafés and restaurant are neaby as well, as are the ocean & beach. The room was like any other normal motel... more

This is a great little motel. The location is perfect, so near lovely coffee bars and shops, two blocks from the beach and a nice stroll to the gorgeous 3rd street promenade shops. The rooms have everything you need, comfy bed, TV if you want it, decent bathroom and air con. I agree with some of the comments that the... more

This Motel is a great motel, close to beach and lots of shopping, restaurants, bars. The rooms were spacious, with a really comfortable bed, lots of closet space. I would recommend this motel to anyone staying in Santa Monica. more

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Is approx 25-30 min walk from Santa Monica Pier/3rd Ave Promenade and 35 min walk from Venice Beach. So perfect if you want to be right in the middle of the exploration. Some great restaurants within walking distance also. There is a fantastic breakfast restaurant/cafe attached to the hotel. Can't beat the price... more

What can I say – to get somewhere reasonably priced in Santa Monica is difficult, but to get somewhere this well located at this price is incredible. The folks that checked us in were really friendly and welcoming, giving us a map of the area and explaining where things were. The rooms were spotless, with a table, chairs, fridge, large... more

We rented one of the suites, which was the size of a small apartment. The hotel is in a great location -- right on Main Street near good restaurants, walking distance to the beach, and just across the street from the weekend farmer's market. It was great having a full kitchen during the stay. more

When my boyfriend and I were moving to Santa Monica, we had to find a cheap hotel that we could afford to stay in until we found an apartment. Frommer's Guide gives this motel a great review, and I agree. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is prime ~ right on Main Street which is loaded with... more
