We were rebooked here by the Rest Haven after that hotel was experiencing some plumbing issues that prevented us from checking in. For a quick stay, Ocean Park Inn isn't bad. Decent location within easy walking distance to Santa Monica's main attractions. Room was small but clean. The staff was friendly and looked after our luggage after we checked out.... More

Nice staff member at check in, Rooms comfortable and clean. Just what we needed for a 1 night stay. not too far from the beach 20 minute walk. Clean comfortable room, is on a main road so more suitable for a 1 night stay that a holiday. Off street parking for hotel guests which was great as it was also... More

When it comes to hotels/motels I have very high expectations. So in February (my stay was Feb 19-23); when the hotel I originally booked did not meet my standards, I found myself at the Ocean Park Inn. They were very accommodating with my showing up without a prior reservation (seriously I drove down the street saw the property, parked and... More

My Family and I once again visited Southern California and as always we stay at the Ocean Park Inn in Santa Monica. The staff is friendly and rooms are very clean and attractive. This time I noticed they have changed their beds into Memory Gels. What a difference. We had a great time sight seeing during the day and a... More

No parking No air conditioning No coffee making Nobody on reception Staff untruthful Locks broken Three stars????? Diabolical We met a complaining guest waiting at reception when we arrived telling us nothing worked. This 'hotel' is a disgrace. Manager never available. Woman staff said it was her 'first day' but obviously wasn't. There is a sign on the reception that... More

We booked this room thinking it was a good value being a few blocks from the beach and much cheaper than the hotels on the beach. It ended up being not such a great value. We didn't realize there was no air conditioning until we got there. At first they gave us an upstairs room that was stifling hot when... More

We stayed here in July 2014. The staff were very helpful with directions and transport. Rooms are basic but clean, same with the shared bathroom. Location is okay, you can get the bus down to the pier in about 20 mins. But everything you need is close by, including lots of good little cafes.

This place is not worth the price. I stayed one night and during my first hour there, the manager/front desk person came to my door, said the ceiling fan in my room was disturbing the guest upstairs, climbed on a chair, and proceeded to set it to the lowest setting. I asked if I could have a different room if... More

on our journey up the Callie Coast, my wife booked us at the Ocean Inn. the location is great and the rooms, though older, are adequate. The first room we got, had a strong odor of cat, so we asked for a change. They moved to another and all was good. An interesting thing, though was the bathroom. Whoever placed... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
