Sure it's a bit long in the tooth and can use some updates, but it was a nice break from the cookie cutter chains that I normally stay in. Stayed in the older section and loved the sense of history of just being in a place that was so sought after many years ago. Understand what you will get before... More

I stayed here for a conference for two nights this past weekend, and while my overall assessment of the stay was positive, the hotel could use some gentle upgrading. While I wasn't terribly aware of the history before I got here, it has the sense of one of those grand old hotels from the days of classic films. But it's... More

This hotel thinks it is a slice of history with it's styling and movie star names on the room doors and I'm sure it was great in the days when Bette Davis (who's room we had) stayed, however, today it really isn't anything special. It needs some interior refurbishment and a new external awning and is really just a bit... More

This hotel has been the temporary home to dozens of movie stars. I stayed in the older part of the hotel in the Jimmy Stewart room and it was located on a corner looking out to the gardens and pool. A modern room with all the amenities. I had great meal in the bar while staying overnight and I look... More

We only stayed one night, and that was probably a good thing. There are two parts to this hotel - the old, original side built in 1917 and the 'new' tower side. I was shown a stunning room in the old section, but it was quite a hike and I knew my husband would have difficulty managing the walk, so... More

Hotel and grounds are beautiful. Room clean and comfortable. Pool and Spa seemed to be very well maintained. We enjoyed the Spa Tub, but Pool too cold. A few negatives, but we didn't let them affect our score. Hotel.com lists under room information-room details that room has a balcony. It does not. When we asked about this, we were told... More

This was a fun stop for 2 nights. The Inn provided information for wine tastings that was so amazing. The rooms were super clean, well stocked in the bath, large on the newer side with comfortable beds. A lot of charm and character with history also added in made this an interesting place to visit. The wine cellar had comfortable... More

The reviews titled "One Night Stay" and "Nice and clean" pretty much sum up my reviews of the room. I was on floor 5 in the "new" tower overlooking the front entry. It was very quiet. I like old buildings, that's why we chose this one. Parts (bar and dining rooms) are almost 100 years old. But not the room... More

Really great staff, very accommodating. Breakfast was good, room was clean and comfortable but as with most of the reviews here, the decoration needs updating, lots of chips in paint work etc. I did overhear they were redoing some ofbthe rooms. I personally would stay here again. Had a great night sleep :-)

We stayed a night in the tower and found it very comfortable. The rooms are large and our room was very clean. The room came with two queen beds as well as a large window with a padded bench seat. The water pressure was good and the beds were firm. The interior of the hotel was clean, but older and... More
