My parents, husband and I wanted to stay somewhere on the central coast for 2 nights as part of a road trip. Everything that was in our price range got terrible reviews and looked like a real dive. A two bedroom cabin at Santa Margarita KOA was just within our price range, and ended up being a comfortable and relaxing... More

The Santa Margarita KOA is a ncie place for kids and family. There are cool places to visit, like the Hearst Castle and Pismo Beach (went ATV driving!). ABout the campground itself: it was pretty nice... I wasn't a big fan of the playground, which could be kept cleaner. I liked the activities... the LEGO movie was playing and there... More

We spent three nights at the Santa Margarita KOA the week before the Labor Day weekend. It was our plan to go before the holiday weekend to avoid the crowds, since almost every campground along the coast of California was booked solid on the weekend. There was also a midweek special, stay 3 nights and get 1 free, so we... More

Me and my friend stayed here for one night, so i would recommend checking out other reviews too. Quiet and well kept campsite, very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities and clean bathrooms/showers. The campground also had wifi, which is a big plus in my book. We rented a log cabin which was very nice. I would absolutely recommend this... More

We got the last RV campsite left in the county on short notice the weekend of my birthday. When we arrived, Dylan our host, had a cupcake with a candle waiting for me at check-in & the staff sang happy birthday. Overall, our experience couldn't have been better due to such great customer service. We even joined the KOA membership... More

I liked this campsite and so did the kids. Yes our cabin was the only one without shade so it did get pretty hot during the day but next time we will bring a pop up. Loved the cabin, it even had a refrigerator, ceiling fan and lightsI liked all the hills, it gave each site a bit more privacy.... More

Stayed three days car camping. The tent site we had (#61) wasn't the best as it overlooked the RVs. However, they've planted lots of Magnolia trees around the site so will one day it will be a good one to book. The sites in this campground are built into a hillside so the farther up you go, the better the... More

Stayed at a group camp site 7/31 - 8/1 with my sons and their girlfriends. This campsite is VERY HILLY and there are multiple stairs to the bathrooms. All sites, (cabins, RV spaces and tent camping) are on pure dirt. Not a single green blade of grass anywhere except the kids play area and around the pool. Downside of that... More

Very helpfull staff, even though the campground was full the overflow part was prepared in a minute as a nice spot with firering. Nice little shop, clean pool. Laid back approach, nice campground with very nice RV and tent locations. A real campground that you have to spend the night on your journey in Western California

We made reservations directly with Scott at the KOA. I told him want I needed to rent for our families and he suggested 2 cabins (#84 & #85) together on a hill. It was perfect!!! Very reasonably priced. He gave us contacts and info for local activities to make arrangements prior to arrival. For a very small fee, I had... More
