this was my first koa visit and i was impressed with this location. we stayed in a cabin which was pretty cool. power, fan, heater, ample lighting, wifi, and enough room for us. the site was very clean and well maintained. lots of rv spots too. the bathrooms were also clean and well lit. there were however some eight legged... Stayed in a new "Deluxe cabin" with our family of five. Mattresses were very comfortable and the cabin was perfect. Queen bed in one bedroom and twin bunks in another. Loft had two twin mattresses but was only about 4 feet high so a bit snug for my 6'5" son! Living room also had a double pull out sofa Beds... More

Nice campground..Had an issue with weather when we showed up but the staff was very accommodating. Bathrooms were clean with nice hot showers. Nice lake up the road. We saw deer. It was awesome. We would definitely stay here again.

It was great. The staff was very nice and the jumping pillow and the frisbee golf we very fun. We had a yurt and it was near the bathrooms but with a steep hike down the mountain. I would suggest getting a cabin if u want easy access to bathrooms. But overall a yurt was very comfy and I would... More

We spent 3 days here. This is a very lovely and peaceful KOA. I loved taking day trips to the beach, San Luis etc. The town is very small and quaint. We loved returning to the beautiful campground. We were serenaded by crickets at night and birds during the day. We had a wonderful time.

We stayed here when we went to a show at Pozo Saloon. We had a schoolbus and a group of about six other cars. Really had a great time although the bathrooms are a little hard to get to if you have any mobility issues. We only stayed one night and made use of the pool the next day before... More

My parents, husband and I wanted to stay somewhere on the central coast for 2 nights as part of a road trip. Everything that was in our price range got terrible reviews and looked like a real dive. A two bedroom cabin at Santa Margarita KOA was just within our price range, and ended up being a comfortable and relaxing... More

The Santa Margarita KOA is a ncie place for kids and family. There are cool places to visit, like the Hearst Castle and Pismo Beach (went ATV driving!). ABout the campground itself: it was pretty nice... I wasn't a big fan of the playground, which could be kept cleaner. I liked the activities... the LEGO movie was playing and there... More

We spent three nights at the Santa Margarita KOA the week before the Labor Day weekend. It was our plan to go before the holiday weekend to avoid the crowds, since almost every campground along the coast of California was booked solid on the weekend. There was also a midweek special, stay 3 nights and get 1 free, so we... More

Me and my friend stayed here for one night, so i would recommend checking out other reviews too. Quiet and well kept campsite, very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities and clean bathrooms/showers. The campground also had wifi, which is a big plus in my book. We rented a log cabin which was very nice. I would absolutely recommend this... More
