Great experience at this hotel. Everything as very well maintained, pool and spa are very clean. What I really loved was the fitness room- this is one of the most extensive fitness rooms I have seen at a hotel in this price range. There are 3 elipticals and 3 treadmills, each with their own television screen for private viewing while... more

We wanted a place that was a little quieter than the actual Santa Cruz Boardwalk scene and that we knew we could count on to be clean and neat. We have a 3-year old daughter and wanted a place that wasn't grungy. We reserved a standard room with 2 queens. My husband liked the free wireless internet. The room had... more

Located in Scotts Valley, not Santa Cruz. It is conveniently located near the onramp to Hiway 17 for quick access to Santa Cruz or Los Gatos . I needed a comfortable hotel near my home for several weeks, and the Hilton was a good choice. The rooms are big enough for a king size bed and a sitting area of... more

Well, the Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley is a typical Hilton hotel. The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious, but also very generic. And expensive. We booked the Hilton for two nights while visiting the annual Open Studios art event. There wasn't really anything to complain about, but our hotel stay wasn't really memorable either. As other reviewers noted before, the... more

I stayed at the Hilton, Scotts Valley for a week with my wife and two kids and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Admittedly we were upgraded to a suite which was very spacious and got our stay off to a great start. We had wanted to stay in Santa Cruz but most of the reviews of the hotels in town were... more

The fact that this hotel is not located in the heart of Santa Cruz was a BIG plus for us. It is a nice and peaceful retreat compared to the chaotic town of Santa Cruz. The boardwalk is a fun place to visit, but believe me, after a day of it you will be ready for some peace and quiet.... more

This location is beautifully located away from the crazy overpriced boardwalk area of Santa Cruz.. The hotel looks like a castle in the forest. The rooms and bedding are very comfortable. And the pool and gym area is clean and well kept. We will certainly return here before ever checking into a boardwalk hotel. more

Booked online and was surprised when we finally showed up after a day on the Boardwalk that it wasnt actually Santa Cruz?? more like a 15 minute drive up the hill away from the beach? This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in for our across Cali roadtrip but was by far not the nicest! I'd expect a little... more

Nicely appointed rooms, some are suites. Room decor includes marble surfaces, Hilton signature bed ensemble, sofa, etc. We have stayed here 3 or 4 times and enjoyed our stay each time. We were here last Thanksgiving too. Management was very professional and responsive and took care of us as if we were regulars. They have a nice outdoor pool/hot tub... more

The hotel is beautiful but location is good only if you want to be near the small town of Scotts Valley which is at least 15 driving minutes from the Santa Cruz Beach. Scotts Valley does have some good restaurants including an Italian one named In Vito Veritas for lunch or dinner, and Auntie Mames or Mollies for breakfast. However,... more
