The grounds and setting for the resort are definitely beautiful. If you don't need an Oceanside hotel in santa Cruz, would start with this place. Would like to see the happy hour extended until 6 instead of ending at 5. They have a great deck there you can see the ocean from on a clear day. Give folks a reason... More

This resort is up on a hill overlooking Santa Cruz. It has a view of the ocean but is not close, which is a good thing (felt very safe). It feels like a resort because of its surroundings. Wonderful scenery, trails, and accommodations. We splurged and got a suite to accommodate our daughter and a friend in one room (in... More

Entire facility is gorgeous, food amazing and rooms, pool, and fitness center clean and business as well as family friendly. The food was excellent. Fresh and healthy options, I was on business and there were fresh snacks and beverages throughout. The view from several balconies was amazing. The room was simple, clean and comfortable. The fitness center was not crowded... More

I visited the Chaminade Resort & Spa for the 80 minute signature massage and Karen was wonderful!!! She had a very calming and grounding energy and I was able to fully relax during my massage. I've had other massages for this length of time and after about 30 minutes I felt that the masseuse lost interest and I was not... More

No refrigerators in the room. The walls are paper thin. The grounds are very nice and the pool is clean and the tennis courts newly surfaced. With tax and "Resort Fee" expect to pay another $50.00 a night from what's advertised. Two small chopped salads with no protein were very good but $47.00 with tip via room service. Rooms were... We were looking forward to a nicely appointed room and when we checked in the staff said we can upgrade you to a bigger room. I didn't think to ask if the interiors were comparable. Once inside, it was clear this was for an individual in a wheelchair. The bathroom looked industrial with grab bars everywhere. There was no granite... More

I visited and stayed here while having to work for a week in Santa Cruz and was this a great pick! Upon arriving I was checked in promptly and was given a choice of room - either on the bottom floor or top - I chose the top to avoid hearing footsteps. The room is not lavish - standard hotel... My daughter chose Chaminade for her wedding venue. Angela Cima was our contact there. I cannot say enough about Angela and the rest of the staff there. For the past several months through the wedding last Sunday, Angela has been helpful and accommodating. She reminded my daughter of deadlines, answered all our questions, and made excellent suggestions. She was there... More

Our room was fabulous. Roomy, and a great view of the trees and "woods". It was all-inclusive meaning we didn't have to leave the grounds. The restaurant is "fine dining" and has an incredible view of Santa Cruz. The spa is relaxing, and a gym that is really a gym, not just a couple of machines.
