Stayed here on vacation with wife and toddler. The hotel is a "motel style" with exterior corridors and parking in front of the rooms. We found the staff to exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is located right off of CA-17 and about a ten minute drive from the boardwalk and west cliff drive. Not walkable but not a very bad... More

The Comfort Inn is immediately on your left as Hwy-17 from San Jose and Silicon Valley merges into Ocean Ave in Santa Cruz. Completely remolded a year and half ago, this place was a real gem! Great room, king size bed, nice size work area table, easy electrical outlet access, jacuzzi and pool. Clean rooms, attentive staff, good location and... More

I won a 2 night stay through the Santa Cruz visitors council. I tried calling 3 times and could never get anyone to help me. Finally I made a reservation. When I arrived the girl helping me couldn't figure out what to do, The mgr. came to help me and acted like I was trying to pull something over on... More

My daughter and I visited Santa Cruz to see the University and booked for one night. I read a lot of reviews on this one as well as others and was a bit nervous but decided to give it a try. Not sure if there was an alternative route but after traveling the 101 for hours, the GPS directed us... More

We stayed here just for 1 night and it was perfect, clean rooms, big beds, good shower and we walked into town. It maybe a little out for some people but it was nice to walk after being in a car! Breakfast was plentiful and lots to choose from, seats were limited so some people took it back to their... More

We reserved a room with 2 queens but by the time we checked in, the only one left was backing up to the street. The street was quite busy so we asked if there was anything else available and we were able to stay in the handicapped accessible room as it also had 2 queens. Check in was fast and... More

Santa Cruz is an easy, safe place to visit. It is a wonderful town to take kids! I stayed here with friends and small children and the hotel offered inexpensive rooms in easy driving distance to the boardwalk and the freeways. There is nothing special about these rooms but there is nothing that will make you run screaming for the... More

Having had a great night at the Comfort Inn in Lone Pine we were pleased we found another in Santa Cruz, on our way from Tomales to Carmel. We chose Santa Cruz as an obvious 'halfway house'. Hotel was fine, very efficient check-in staff, clean rooms although confused as to why the prices here were $100 more per night than... More

Motel with exterior entrances to each room. Robyn and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and appeared clean. Felt safe. Road is easy access to 17 and 1, which was handy. AC was very efficient. Water was scalding hot. Faucets weren't installed correctly so turned off in several directions. This also meant easy to get scalded... More

I have grown up going to Santa Cruz. We always stay within walking distance in the little rundown hotels. We have too many children ourselves to do that now and couldn't afford a run down expensive hotel, so this time we chose one just about 3 min. driving time, but too far to walk. We chose the Comfort Inn just... More
