We stayed here for 1 night with friends and it was so expensive. We had the worse room out of the group. The bed was saggy and uncomfortable and the room smelt musty. The windows don't open and the Jacuzzi bath was broken. Our shower didn't work either and although we reported it, no one came to fix it. We... More

I have been staying at this Howard Johnson Inn at Fisherman's Wharf Santa Cruz for a couple of nights in January every year for almost 20 years. I keep booking it because it is my home away from home when visiting Santa Cruz. I always book the same room, a king bed room, it's the off season so the prices... More

We were had to go here because of a reservation screw up somewhere else in SC. It's tiny, grubby and the parking situation is impossible. But it was a bed for the night which is about all you can say.

We lucked out, we were able to get two rooms on the beach facing side of the property and you are going to stay here then I'd recommend this for you as well. The rooms were clean with great balcony overlooking Santa Cruz. And hey, free breakfast!

We were locked out of our room for over 1 hour without our phones or jackets causing our plans to be ruined because we missed a Happy Hour deadline which was the reason for us spending the night. (no drinking and driving) The room was nice but overpriced, & more then we needed but we were told that was the... More

I stayed at this hotel the night before last. My car was (shocker!) unfairly TOWED and now I have to take the owner to small claims to get my $335 back. What happened: I saw poor reviews but proceeded to book because I'd had lovely stays at the same hotel about five years ago when I needed to stay in... More

We stayed here because of the proximity to the Boardwalk. Rooms were clean. Facility looked "old" and could use some modernization. Beds were comfy. Thankfully, the location is such that it is quiet after-hours. It's not near the bar down the street or close enough to the Boardwalk that you're kept up after 10pm. Breakfast was typical, with waffles, juice,... More
