Stayed one night in April. Room average, fairly noisy with thin walls but clean. Very poor customer service afterwards. Be warned: if you have any problems, don't expect any response from this place, or the manager. Made the booking with a Visa credit card but paid on arrival with a prepaid Mastercard. In spite of specifically instructing the person on... More

It's not a four star hotel that you see in the city, but this is by far my most favorite hotel in Santa Cruz, and probably the only one I find worth while staying at. My husband and I went for a concert and had booked with motel 6.. to be disappointed and found this hotel, and ended up staying... More

This place would be great if they improved the pool area. The pool was cold, dirty, and uninviting. No hot tub either. Everything else was nice. It is across the street from the beach and VERY close to the Boardwalk. Nice beds, clean rooms, etc. By Santa Cruz standards this place is GREAT. More

The Coastview Inn, although certainly not a Ritz-Carlton, was one of the better reasonably-priced hotels I've stayed in, especially at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, where I stayed at many hotels. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean and well maintained as were the grounds (except the pool had not been vacuumed, probably because it was... More

We wanted a reasonable place to stay in Santa Cruz and this turned out to be nicer than I expected. It is off season so the website said to call for the manager's special-we did and got an even better rate so it's worth the call. the bed was very comfortable and more like what you get at a higher... We stayed here over the clam chowder cookoff weekend. We were fortunate enough to be in the second floor front. The beds were very confortible and the view was to die for.The service at the desk and the morning breakfast was very good. The chowder cookoff was extremely crowded on the boardwalk. We had dinner at an old favorite restaurant... More

This is by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. The beds were the hardest i have ever slept in at a hotel. The manager, Jeff, was not polite in the least. The walls were so thin that when the people above me walked i thought the ceiling would cave in. There was an empty alcohol bottle at... More

We would stay at Coastview Inn again—in certain rooms at certain times. Rooms 201, 202, 203 and 204 are second floor rooms in front with expansive views of the beach and wharf. Only these rooms have no walkway in front of the window so that you can really enjoy the view. We stayed in 202. The room was standard motel-ish,... More

The location is great, the hotel average. Parking could be tough if you get there late. Our room had a strange odor, but we opened the window and it got better (and we could hear the ocean!) Our room wasn't cleaned by about 3:30 when we got back, so we did not have any service. The garbage can outside the... More

My family of three just stayed for 1 night at the INN. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The price was affordable. You are right across the street from the arcade which is GREAT for the Boardwalk. Parking is VERY TIGHT at the hotel. In addition, we had noisy neighbors but around 10ish they settled down. I would stay again.... More
