Supper friendly. Shuttle service to take you & collect you when you call. Very clean. Home of the Santa Cruz Warriors so you might bump into some of the team. Great bar & pool area. Rooms very cozy. Would recommend although a decent walk to the main street but with the shuttle it's not an issue.

What was once a motel, has been remodeled into a very nice, boutique feeling, motel. (It's hard to call it a hotel as the room doors open to the outside, not an enclosed hall) The lobby is very nice and check in was a breeze. The pool area almost feels like old school Vegas. The rooms are very nice with... More

The renovation of an old Holiday Inn was done well enough that you don't even notice. I wish we could have stayed longer. Would have been nice to know that there was a charge for parking before I was given the bill upon checking out

I think this place is fantastic. The reception area was great staff was very welcoming. Just as advertised it is a large enough hotel but has the feeling of a smaller boutique hotel. Yes the rooms are based on a motel layout but the rooms are wonderful quite roomy modern décor great work area well appointed, bed was super. You... More

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in the Santa Cruz area. We were originally booked to stay at a different place, but when we got there it was awful, so we headed out at about 10:30pm in search of another option. We came across the Hotel Paradox after trying many others that were already full, and... More

We came for a quick romantic getaway and had a great time. The room was small but very clean, super modern and very functional. The bed was comfy and the sheets smelled so clean, which is a big plus for me! It was easy to find and close to all the sights downtown and beachside. They had a security guard... More

We had a business meeting here so I just stayed here. The only downside, was I was charged for a restaurant charge for valet parking!!! I had ordered food for my clients in between the customer meetings and charged to my room. When I checked out, there was the restaurant charge and a valet parking charge!!! I spoke to the... More

We arrived here straight from the airport and were really pleased with our room. Clean and comfy. The food was over prices but the staff were helpful and friendly. Didn't use the pool so can't really comment. Easy walk to Santa Cruz but beware all the homeless people!

From the moment we entered this hotel feels different and good. Rooms not huge as other reviews say but don't let that put you off, as the rooms are rather special in their decor. Good welcome from friendly staff too. Well worth going to for a slightly special experience of a genuine boutique hotel in a european style
