My boyfriend and I recently stayed here and loved it! The overall feel of the property is so relaxing and comforting. The outdoor pool area is so inviting with the sun shining and redwoods glowing around you. The restaurant is fabulous and Matt the bartender was amazing. Definitely going back!

We stayed here on a roadtrip. The hotel had nice rooms and very nice pool. The hotel pool was accessable in the morning and even in the late evening. Shame the breakfast was not included on the price. Husband says the fitness room was good. We could have stayed here another night, maybe on our next trip!

My husband and I only stayed for a night but we would definitely return for a longer stay if the opportunity presented itself. We loved the natural, unique decor, comfortable bedding and location. We only interacted with the front desk on one occasion but they were very welcoming and friendly.

My family had a short trip to the Santa Cruz area and chose Hotel Paradox for our stay. The appearance from the outside is understated but already alludes to a more modern facility instead of the stale cookie-cutter hotels room from the big chain over-nighters. We were greeted at the front desk (a huge fallen Eucalyptus tree) by a friendly... More

We stayed here one night, and had breakfast at the restaurant. Everyone we came into contact with was pleasant and helpful, from the front desk clerk to the waiter. The facility is unique and creatively done, and the quality of things such as towels and sheets is good. Would definitely recommend.

This was a great hotel. It's been recently modernised and rooms are great. I loved the shower with pebbles on the floor! The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They gave great advice on places to see. There is a free shuttle down to the boardwalk and again the driver gave us some excellent advice about saving money at the... More

We stayed in Hotel Paradox for the last two days of 2014 and it was just perfect. From check in to check out we had excellent service. The hotel is very new, very clean and has some quirky design touches. The room was very well designed with everything we needed to hand. The restaurant and bar area are very comfortable... More

Excellent boutique hotel. Very clean rooms and comfortable stay. Pillows were comfy and there was enough space for all our things. We booked the "Standard Room" via a Third Party website and that got us the "Mini King Room." It was a small room, but had every comfort we needed, including bath robes. It was quiet and there were no... More

Supper friendly. Shuttle service to take you & collect you when you call. Very clean. Home of the Santa Cruz Warriors so you might bump into some of the team. Great bar & pool area. Rooms very cozy. Would recommend although a decent walk to the main street but with the shuttle it's not an issue.

What was once a motel, has been remodeled into a very nice, boutique feeling, motel. (It's hard to call it a hotel as the room doors open to the outside, not an enclosed hall) The lobby is very nice and check in was a breeze. The pool area almost feels like old school Vegas. The rooms are very nice with... More
