Check in and check out were uneventful, quick and the staff quite friendly. Our room was clean and quiet as requested. It was well appointed and typical for this brand. Breakfast was not what we liked and the really only suitable option for us was fruit and even that was a bit lacking. There were oranges and apples but no... More

This location is very easy to find and great location. Right off the 17 & 1 just as you enter Santa Cruz. The hotel features Hampton Inn's noted comfort and friendly atmosphere. The room was clean and spacious. It is a very short drive to the Beach Board Walk and famous restaurants. The traffic noise is not noticeable. Recommend this... More

Good value, but no on site fitness center - had to use gym about a mile away. No self service laundry. Breakfast was OK (can't complain too much as it was complimentary), but very limited choices. Very full parking lot, some homeless people wandering in the parking lot and around the building.

It has great freeway access but area around it is pretty old and not so nice. Many homeless people in this area. Parking is tight if car is not a compact. The breakfast was good. In addition to the normal continental breakfast, it had eggs, sausage and bagel halves with meat, eggs and cheese on them. Desk staff was friendly... More

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The front desk manager provided some very nice suggestions for places to eat and sights to visit. Access to the rooms from the back car park was convenient. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was standard and adequate. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway but a... More

We stayed at the Hampton Inn this past weekend. While the room and breakfast was fine, our biggest issue was with the pool. We could not access the pool with our room cards and even the front desk had issues trying to open the pool door. So we were waiting in our swim suits in the lobby until they figured... More

I'm so sorry that you had a disappointing experience with the pool at our property. It's true that for a short time we experienced some technical difficulties with our pool heater, as well as our pool room lights and pool room door. These issues have now been repaired, but I apologize that they diminished the quality of your stay. I... More

Excellent and clean white beddings were impressive. The bed was comfortable also. I would stay at Hampton Inn again for my next trip. I also joined the Hilton Honor since I think that I will be selecting Hilton and Hampton rooms again in the future.

The hotel is not up to par with other Hampton Inn properties. It feels dated and has an odd smell. The halls and breakfast area are not well lit. Heating was noisy and woke me many times during night. Decided to use an extra blanket to avoid problems next nights. Hairs in shower, something crummy on sheets. Shower faucet installed... More

I'm so sorry that you had a disappointing stay with us. While we've already been in contact with you through other channels, I would like to reiterate that these are not normal issues at our property, as our housekeeping and maintenance staff reliably do an excellent job. Regardless, I am sorry that this was not the case for your stay,... More

I checked in January 11th-13th and The lady who checked us in ( I don't remember her name but she had an accent I believe) was really sweet and informative of everything I wanted to know, The parking lot did look a little iffy but I was put in a room that overlooked my car so that put me at... Driving up the coast from LA to Sacramento, and decided this year to visit Santa Cruz. The Hampton was immediately on the right as soon as we took the exit onto Ocean Street and we drove by it twice. Ha! Lobby/breakfast area is an atrium open to all 3 floors with the rooms around the perimeter. Very attractive. Another knowledgable... More
