We stayed there for 1 night. The room was small and cozy but had a king size bed. To me it seemed like the building had been updated. Windows and countertops seemed new. Bed and showers were very clean. Free parking Free Internet Free continental breakfast: cereal, oatmeal, bananas, milk, orange juice and coffee Surrounded by restaurants but may I... More

This property is basic and somewhat dated. The price was right, but it is located on a major road (Ocean Blvd.) so there was quite a bit of road noise. It was centrally located and within walking distance to the Boardwalk, the Wharf and downtown, had we been so inclined. The room was clean with a refrigerator and microwave.

And inexpensive. Plus a very nice boss lady who will invite you back if you've been nice yourself. Our room was tight and comfortable with a king bed. A small fridge with a small microwave oven on top of it sat in one corner, pretty handy for a resort area with its numerous and often expensive restaurants. A light breakfast... More

Front desk was very curious and competent. Many positives - clean, super low price, bedding good, breakfast limited but sufficient. Only negatives - need to take breakfast back to room to eat as there is no room, nor tables to eat in the lobby. Also, our heater was very loud. But the good far outweighs the two inconveniences. We will... More

My wife and I just returned from a 3-night stay. We really liked it. The rooms are rather small, but big enough for the two of us, clean and quiet, with fridge and premium cable. No bed bugs or any other insects. Dogs not allowed. Continental breakfast. Good diner and restaurant literally around the corner. Outdoor heated pool on premises.... More

We stayed here on a Sunday night so it wasn't too expensive. For the price it was good. Nice and clean. They were vey friendly and helpful. Our friends were meeting us in Santa Cruz and the lady at the front desk let them use the phone to call us. The breakfast was simple but fine with real orange juice,... More

Stopped for a quick overnight stay. As we arrived, there was a partial power blackout on the block, knocking out power to half the hotel. The staff was coping with it quite well (luckily the front desk area still had power), and gave me a room (with power). The room was a bit small but certainly adequate for an overnight... More

$80 a night for a king bed and you can easily walk over the bridge to theaters, restaurants, ice cream shops, farmers markets and the downtown city center scene. This motel is on the corner of Soquel and Ocean, which is one of the main streets in Santa Cruz. My room had good carpet, a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom,... More
