I found the place clean and modern. The renovations were done hastily but sufficient for our one night stay. My usual Santa Cruz crib is the Comfort Inn on Plymouth because we travel with an infant and need the fridge for milk. This place makes the Comfort Inn look like a homeless shelter. The other hotel guests were noisy in... More

We visited beautiful Santa Cruz and selected Ocean Pacific Lodge. As it was high season, it was a bit more expensive, but we were satisfied. The bed was clean and comfy. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker in the room! The room felt safe, despite the kind of shady guy in parking lot, smoking something sitting in his car... They have a... More

We stayed here for over a week and if we hadn't prepaid we would have moved to another hotel. Although the hotel has big rooms and they are very clean, its way to noisy for a long stay. The hotel walls and ceilings are paper thin. The adjoining rooms to ours had children and dogs in them and it sounded... More

Large room, clean, helpful staff and just 3 blocks from the Santa Cruz pier with all the nice seafood restaurants! We had a room adjacent to the street so heard many cars go by throughout the evening. But for a $100 price which includes a nice selection of breakfast options (yogurt, cereal, fresh waffles, bananas, coffee, cocoa), its a pretty... More

My husband and I stayed one night in September 2014. The staff was very nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had some reservations about noise as they provide disposable earplugs (they were on the nightstands). We did not experience any noise and slept with the window open. The location was great as we like to walk to dinner... More

Stayed for one night and it was fine. The rooms are not big but they are adequate. The room had fridge and the beds were quite comfortable. Different to see laminate flooring instead of carpet. The breakfast was good with some hot options. This hotel is in an excellent location for the beach and Boardwalk.

My husband and I randomly stayed in Santa Cruz on a short trip / very impressed by the helpful, polite, friendly staff. The room was not a 5 star (nor the price) but was CLEAN. The staff could give lessons to other much more expensive hotels. We would definitely stay here again. Our stay was 9/16/2014 and we are seniors.)

I give the front office staff a high five for being friendly and helpful. We were very happy to find this place with no reservation, after having stayed in a very disappointing B and B the night before. Since our room was not available until the afternoon, we left the car there and headed downtown which was an easy walk.... More

This is the second time we are here in two months. The first stay was fairly pleasant. This time we are on the ground floor. AVOID THESE ROOMS - noisy and you can't open the window because people are walking right outside. This room is a hodge podge of outdated furniture- TV etc. The location within walking distance of the... More

We were happily surprised by this hotel. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the board walk and the beach. Large rooms that were clean and comfortable. My son and I came for a college tour and he had essentially his own room (we connected with a bath in the middle and the cost was one room). The reception... More
