I had the opportunity to spend a long weekend at the Dream Inn and was overall satisfied with my stay due to the location of the hotel; however, there were a couple misses that could be improved by hotel management. The areas that could use some work based on my experience: check in process (including valet service) & quality of... More

This hotel was a complete surprise. We found it online while driving by and googled some reveiws. They were mainly excellent so we walked in. $229 per night, king, on the water, view of the park... simply amazing! Nice and clean room. I will be staying here again!

I have to admit that when we first arrived, I was not impressed with the actual facility. The price per night is high and begin comparing hotels that expensive to the Four Seasons. The one family bathroom in the lobby was not impressive. The rooms are basic. However, after opening the slider to the view of the ocean, beach, pier,... More

Went in a business trip to Santa Cruz and stayed at the Dream Inn. What a lovely hotel! Literally in front of the boardwalk, you could hear the waves breaking just feet away from your balcony and sea lions barking at the distance, which I found soothing. The hotel had a retro vibe to it that I found charming, the... More

We stayed for one night midweek in a room overlooking the pool in the non tower building. The location of this hotel really could not be more amazing. Views are ideal. We could walk right out to pool from our room and then right down to the beach from the pool. The rooms were slightly disappointing. Furniture is worn. Carpet... More

First of a all, don't stay in room #320. The view from the bed is a brick wall, and the corridor outside makes sleeping impossible. I was awake at 3am because of some selfish and clueless gossipers outside the room. Then there is the poolside food, which at $9 for a nude hamburger with no lettuce, no tomatoes, no sides,... More

This hotel sits right on the beach with great ocean views. Rooms are up to date with great showers. Beds are comfortable though pillows could be better. Nice restaurant on site. Pool and hot tub very enjoyable, as well as the outside heaters when the temperature is a little chilly. Great walking distance to boardwalk. Only reason I have 4... More

We love the place. It's clean, quiet, located ideally, and has a wonderful overall feel. We stayed only one night (many more nights next visit for sure). We enjoyed the pool, the sound of waves crashing that can be heard from the room, we loved being by the boardwalk, but not too close to it. We loved that the beach... More

The Dream Inn is the only place to stay when visiting Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz has a lot of drug activity which we saw out in the open. I'm not saying you will see gangs of druggies up and drown the Boardwalk but you will walk from your very nice hotel and pass by one person on the bench smoking... More

My family and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel has been redecorated in a very modern style that works with the older architecture. Our room was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the beach and the pool. Extra points for having an actual bathtub! The restaurant overlooks the beach. The food was good, although the service was inconsistent... More
