The room was beautiful yet a bit stuffy, had the smell of a chemical base or something like that of a permanent hair solution smell. It was all throughout the hotel not just in our room. ? Not sure why? The breakfast was amazing! we enjoyed the experience just a bit pricey in our opinion.

Usually you walk into an Embassy Suites and see all the trees and plants--this one has nothing. This is not a typical Embassy Suites, with open atrium and lush gardens. But it is clean and well presented. Parking is easy and the cooked-to-order breakfast was very good. The shower was great and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Must admit I did not have great expectations when I made the reservation. The previous evening I had stayed in a very expensive boutique hotel. Much to my delight the suite was spacious, well appointed and immaculately clean. It was quiet and comfortable. There was even a pleasing view. What more can one ask for in a hotel?

This is an older Embassy Suites but has all the comforts that come with Embassy Suites - Big rooms, a good happy hour and a great breakfast. The best thing is the location and access to all that is important in San Jose.
