I had to book this trip kind of last minute and all of the hotels in downtown San Jose were either sold out, or were charging $400/night. My company uses "Concur" for booking travel and this place showed up as a 2 1/2 star alternative with a total price of $185/night. The bed was clean and I actually slept OK,... More

Read the reviews before and still decided to stay here because the cost is high for chain hotels in the area. Was working at night so sleep in the daytime was kinda tough because the rooms are not very quiet and had one hotel employee whistle and not stop for an hour until I told him to shut up. The... This is a strange review to write because the place is a well-worn motel. The rooms are small (though with big closets), and not well insulated. You can hear through the walls, and people talking outside your room. The TVs are old CRTs. That said, my room was clean and the bed was fine. Everything worked, though the window in... More

As a native Northern Californian, I kind of found it trendy. It looked like a 1960's hotel. Because it was a 1960's hotel. The television is at least thirty years old. 27 inch box tv. The door is so light, it would be easy to punch a hole in it. The breakfast was eggs and sausage. Extremely minimal. But all... More

Showed up 10.30am on a Thursday. Were spooked by not seeing anyone there. We went againts our instinct and sat at the table. Ordered eggs benedict, omelette and pancakes. It was kind of slow to arrive and the waiter said "madam, we are preparing everything from scratch, as it rarely happens elsewhere unfortunately". He was so right. Best breakfast ever,... More

TV remote has tape holding the batteries in, didn't operate to well, .......But Hotel is an older & outdated property, windows hard to open, needs a little TLC. Paint Chipping off rails in the Exterior Corridors, Worn outdoor carpeting so watch your step!... More

Made the mistake of not booking a hotel in advance. Apparently Silicon Valley gets busy starting Tuesday night. This was our last choice at midnight. (After spending 4 hrs searching) We were happy to have a bed. Bed was horrible. Bathroom looked clean enough. Carpet was gross, they obviously didn't vacuum, there was change on the floor along with makeup.... More

TRASH MATTRESS IN ALL BEDS When I said that mattresses will harm you is because you will feel "all" wires covered by a thin colorful cotton fabric only. It is not accident. This type of mattress has been ordered with the total intention to save money as much as possible. This is a cheap original manufactured mattress to make business... More

looking for a modest, clean place to stay - this has it. It is older, provides the traveler with all the accommodations needed. Nothing fancy but with professional staff to make your visit comfortable.

I stayed here because I couldn't find another place in Santa Clara on my way up the coast. The bedding was not good, bathrooms were moldy and staff wasn't very helpful. It needs a good updating so won't be staying here again thats for sure.
