The hotel has very basic facilities. But nothing more. The good thing is it is close to lot of offices. If you are looking for a basic hotel for your business trip, then you can consider this hotel for your stay.

Room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Room included a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee maker. A/C worked well and was quiet. My only complaint is that I could not access the free wifi. The free breakfast was not very extravagant, but was adequate and included the basics-cereal, coffee, bagels, waffle and toast. Hotel does not include a lobby,... More

We stayed one night at the Stratford and had to deal with prostitutes, drunks and rednecks. We were awakened multiple times during the night by people yelling, fighting and crying. To the hotel's credit, at least the first time, when 4 people were standing outside our door yelling at each other (sounded like they were inside our room), the front... More

I stayed in a downstairs room near the back. The carpet was stained and wrinkled. The paint was chipped, the bedspread frayed. The drains rusty. I did not hear the pop machine like others did. The room was generally clean, but the blinds were grimy with finger prints. Faucet crusted with hard water. Good wifi access Reasonably priced.

During my stays at Hotel Stratford, Santa Clara, CA in the past my i have encountered be bugs, uncomfortable beds, noisy kids running around late at nights, etc... However the people at front desk were trying to be helpful and would do something to remedy the issue. But i found the property manager very rude, impolite and unfriendly. I had... More

This place is clean and large rooms. The clerks are very nice. They had everything I needed. Very quiet. I had driven through 6 states and the bay area was one of the places I stayed for 3 days and paid an extra night. I will be back here for sure.

As many others have said, this motel (NOT a hotel) is a pretty good place to stay if you're looking for basics and don't want to pay extremely high prices for hotels in the bay area. Pros: - Clean, and the maids came daily around the same time to freshen things up - Comfortable beds - Cozy space -- we... More

I come to Santa Clara twice a month for work at my own expense, so I look for economy hotels that are tolerable. I've stayed at most of the motels along El Camino Real and I've stayed at the Hotel Stratford maybe 20 times in the past three years. The Stratford is neither the best or the worst hotel in... More

Very inexpensive lodging in a very expensive area of Silicon Valley. Located in Santa Clara, California and not too far from major expressways and main corridors, this motel really is nothing fancy by a long shot but the bed was clean and comfortable, we had fresh towels and the bed made daily and nothing was ever disturbed in our room.... This is a 2 story motel not a hotel. The lady who check me in was rude. she needs to find another job and get some customer service. Who would put a single women traveling alone on the first floor at the back of the hotel with little light. Oh lets not forget the great ice machine and soda machine... More
