Stayed there for 2 nights while traveling to San Jose area on business. Location is okay, about 5mins off major freeway. There is a Starbucks and a Quizno Subs located in the same plaza as the hotel, so it's easy to grab a bite/morning Java. do you like hotel rooms that overlook train tracks? if you do, this is the place for you do you like hotels that have 1 staff member on duty at night? do you like hotels where you consistently find other peoples' clothing in your room? avoid this place. go stay at the best western airport plaza instead. more

I've stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Santa Clara twice and will stay again next week. The location across the street from Santa Clara University is ideal for me. The studio suite is a large room with a reasonably stocked kitchenette (full-size fridge, coffee maker, etc.).
