Charming old style motel where you drive right up to the door. We had a king room, all of which are all upstairs. About $149 for a Saturday night. I guess cheap for Santa Barbara. Although on State Street it is slightly removed from the bustling shops and bar scene of State Street. Unfortunately too far to walk to all... more

Santa Barbara is not cheap for hotels so this budget hotel is a welcome relief. It's a Mexican/pop art funky, clean, budget motel with flat screen tv, shower/bath, free wi-fi, ipod radio, fridge and microwave and clean sheets on a comfortable bed. If you are looking for somewhere safe to rest your head each night for under $100 while you... more

We stopped in Santa Barbara for one night on our way to San Diego. The room was clean and newly renovated. It was a little bit noisy because of the street which goes along the room doors. Breakfast was meager but ok. more

We were going to spend a single night here while traveling north to San Francisco and decided to extend our stay by another place because we liked it so much. This is a basic, no-frills motel, but is well-located and has everything you need (incl. fridge, microwave, free wi-fi, etc) with a warm, friendly touch. The rooms seem to have... more

Let me just tell you, the website (and the reviews) portray a different environment then we actually experienced. The interior of the rooms is neat, but the walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors doing the dirty and it was disguesting. We didn't feel safe at all. Not bad, but wouldn't stay ever again. We paid too much... more

During our trip up the west coast we stayed two nights in the Agave Inn. Even though it's far away from downtown, if you got a car you're fine. The rooms were clean, nice decorated and very comfortable. The management is very friendly and helpful. more

My Wife & I stopped here for one night on our way up the coast to San Francisco. This place has been recently refurbished. Nice clean room, LCD TV on wall, fridge, microwave, air-con and shower& free parking. Our king size bed was comfortable with the whitest sheets I have ever seen. Both Wendy & Suzanna on reception were lovely.... more

My husband and I just returned from a stay at The Agave Inn. We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Santa Barbara and after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor booked with Agave. For the price the motel was fine--the rooms were clean and spacious and there were complimentary baked goods and coffee each morning in the lobby... more

The Agave Inn is the best motel that I have ever stayed in. It brought me to the atmosphere of elegance. The place provided a peaceful environment with a friendly staff. The motel is colorful and lively. Its location is great because it is two miles from the beach and it is right on State Street where all the action... more
