I recently stayed at Coast Village and enjoyed my visit. Given the mixed reviews, I was a little hesitant to book, but did so anyway. With my tight budget this place was very tempting. To my surprise it was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. The hotel is located in beautiful and charming Montecito. My expectations were definitely met and... more

We stayed here because it was close to a wedding that we were attending. We figured that it was in Montecito so it had to be nice. WRONG! This was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The rooms were tiny and no two rooms were alike. We had almost the entire hotel full of the wedding guests... more

If you need an inexpensive room while traveling the coast of California, this may be one of your best bets. As many people have noted this will probably be a disappointment if you pay $170, but my room was $75 plus tax (found on the Internet), and I have never paid that little for a California hotel since moving to... more

I have stayed for business at many place around the Central Coast. After reading some reviews I can understand the frustration from people that do not understand Santa Barbara. Everything there is overpriced. Have you seen how much cost housing there, gas prices there ...Oh my Good. For someone that knows Santa Barbara and have checked the Hotel's web site... more

I booked this hotel by accident via my corporate travel website. I confused it with the colonial beach inn, which is a decent value in SB. When I got there, there was no parking available on property save 2 spaces in the back through a passthrough with no room to turn around a car. I asked at the front desk... more

We just got back from the Costal Village Inn and I have mixed feeling. For the price we paid $79 dollars a night it was fine. This was on a Sunday and Monday the weekend of Martin Luther King Day. The Location The inn is located in the village of Montecito, a wealthy outlying area of Santa Barbara (Opra lives... more

After we booked this hotel as part of a central California vacation, we checked some of the feedback from Tripadvisor, and we were extremely worried about the negative feedback this hotel received. After a brief discussion we agreed not to cancel this hotel despite the fact our better instincts told us otherwise. How bad could it be, we thought? Big... more

I concur with Cabocurt review. The location is great, the personnel are friendly and helpful, but the prices are excessive for what you get - old rooms and bathroom facilities, under-average comfortable beds, less than comfortable feeling of cleanliness. The registration office is embarrassing, its like a cheap two-bit hollywood motel. When I stayed there in 1996 the prices were... more

Property in excellent location. Management/staff friendly and helpful. Free bikes a huge plus.Nice little continental breakfast at restaurant next door. The rooms are OVERPRICED by 50 to 100 dollars. If the owners charged the correct prices.. 75.00 a nite instead of 129.00 to 199.00 there would be few if any complaints on this site. In this instance you DO NOT get... more
