This motel has been operating in Montecito for many years. It is the only reasonably priced motel in Montecito. The rooms are small, but clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located at the lower village of Montecito with numerous nice stores and good restaurants.

Montecito has something for everyone so if you are looking for a Ritz or Four Seasons type of experience, then head down to the Four Seasons. If you are looking for an unpretentious, family friendly or weekend getaway with friends experience, at an affordable price, Coast Village is your best bet in Montecito. It's on the main road in town,... More

Just arrived home for a weeks stay at the CV Inn. Very pleasant and friendly staff. When we checked out we were not offered a receipt, this did not cause any alarm because we thought we were aware of the total to be charged. Asbsolutely disgusted to find that I have been sent an electronic receipt that includes a charge... More

Not one of the cheapest places we stayed in (with my son on our 3 weeks touring), but as local colleagues commented, a really good price for staying in Montecito, Santa Barbara. Simple inn, friendly staff, clean rooms, a poll, free parking, hiring bikes for free. The solution about breakfast (in Jeannie's bakery in the vicinity, you will meet several... More

Time flies and things change. And that includes the CVI. The last time I stayed here must have been 20 years ago. It was just OK then--great location but pretty ho-hum, quaint lodgings. Nice transformation in the years since. It's winter now so the issue that other guests have noted about no A/C was certainly not a problem. I called... More

The Coast Village Inn is a nice place perfectly located in Montecito. The rooms are just fine but I would opt for the upstairs units, especially the corner twin bed room on the end. The downstairs suite is OK too if you want to cook. The pool facility is well kept too, but this hotel is pretty much for sleeping... More

We stayed overnight at the Coast Village Inn in Montecito for a quick getaway to visit with friends from Santa Diego. The upstairs room overlooking the ocean was clean and cozy. The room are adequate, but certainly not spacious by any means and the adjoining bathroom lacked counter space and could only accommodate one person at a time as it... More

We (2 adutls & 2 kids) stayed here for 1 night. We had a room (#19?) with a convertible sofa and a Queen bed. Sleeping on the sofa was fine for us as we're not picky, but it may not be good enough for people looking for a harder mattress. The room was very nice, located right by the pool... More

The Montecito Inn is a hidden gem and I confess a divine surprise in the heart of Montecito. The room, elegantly appointed, exuded character and style usually exclusive to a 5 star hotel. The queen bed and sofa sleeper both had high quality, major compfy mattresses and in inordinate amount of room for my son and me. The room did... More

We spent two nights here. We had an upstairs unit on the back side of the hotel. This was great, as Coast Village road runs parallel to Hwy 101, so the front side has freeway noise all the time. The room was clean and quiet, but as I said in the title, the rooms are beginning to need a renovation.... More
