The Lavender Inn was wonderful! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The service was top notch, with the nicest employees imaginable. Accommodations include: free internet, complimentary beach cruiser rental, excellent breakfast, and afternoon wine and cheese. It added to an excellent Santa Barbara trip. We will stay here again in the future, and would recommend to anyone looking for a... More

Lavender By the Sea is a wonderful cozy Inn in Santa Barbara. We arrived about 4:30 Friday Afternoon and Peter was very accommodating with getting us adjoining rooms on the first floor. The hot tub and pool were heated. The grounds were very pretty and well groomed. The rooms were immaculate and cozy. I would highly recommend Lavender By The... More

We stayed one night and really liked the place for the price. Room was clean, the bed very comfortable and sheets crisp. Those things alone would have made a decent stay. The hotel has nice extras that make you feel like you're having more: wine or California champagne waiting in a room, wine&cheese in the late afternoon in the small... More

We booked the Lavender Inn by the Sea with a deal from a travel app and got a good price. It's located a bit out of town, about a ten minute walk through a rather scruffy area to the harbour. There's ample free parking out front and a fairly large swimming pool on the property, which my wife said was... More

This was our second time staying at the Lavender Inn By the Sea. This trip we stayed two days and wished we had time for a longer stay. We love the quiet elegant yet quaint feel to the hotel. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and soothing decoration. The refrigerator has bottled water and a bottle of welcoming... More

We spent 2 nights at this beautiful hotel, and could not fault anything. The room was large for my family of 3, the breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The afternoon cheese and wine was just fantastic. We meet a lot of travellers who gave us many tips on where to visit and eat while travelling around the USA.

This place seems like a cross between a B&B and an upscale motel. Very cozy with super friendly front desk staff. From the outside, the property looks like a motel, but the rooms are decorated more like a B&B. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bottle of champagne in each room is a really nice touch. Great continental breakfast in... More

We enjoyed a two night stay here on our road trip. Lovely welcome on arrival from the friendly young man on reception. We were travelling with our friends and were allocated two rooms on the ground floor next to each other. Both rooms were lovely and the welcome bottle of champagne in the room was a very nice touch. Cheese... More

I booked this property as a Christmas present for my wife, surprising her with a weekend in Santa Barbara. The property was very nice, although I was a bit surprised that we couldn't check in a half hour early. That aside, the amenities are nice; welcome bottle of champagne, daily continental breakfast, daily wine/cheese happy hour. The room was average,... More
