Lavender Inn by the Sea is such a cute and cosy place to stay. Inspired by French Provence, it is really quaint and whimsical. Our room was spacious, pleasant and comfortable. Sophia at the front desk is so sweet and helpful. Location wise, it's a stone away from the Wharf though about 20mins away from the shopping main strip to... More

Awesome location. Within walking distance to the beach, the pier, and State Street. Hotel is very well maintained and staff quite nice. Continental breakfast is filing and constantly replenished. The rooms are a bit small and dark. I would stay here again.

We wanted a relaxing getaway weekend and that is exactly what we got at the Lavender Inn. After making the 3 hour drive we were welcomed with the complimentary wine, cheese and crackers offered in the lobby. We then took a dip in the perfectly heated pool and relaxed in the outdoor secluded spa. Perfect. The chilled bottle of champagne... More

I wish we had booked this place for another night or two. The Lavender Inn has lavender growing outside and a complimentary lavender bag inside your room, natch. Most impressive is the welcome cheese, biscuits, cookies, grapes, nuts, red or white wine late afternoon ... welcome! The pool is great, lots of room for swimming and chilling. So looking forward... The three of us really enjoyed our stay here. In May it was quiet, and gave us a wonderful chance to come together from our various residences and enjoy good conversation, walking, shopping and the beauty of SB ! Our room ( #15) was excellent because it was at the end and the window faced a side street rather than... More

We checked in with another couple and both parties were upgraded to suites given they had run out of King rooms. We stayed in room 2 which was large - had full sized sofa and a separate kitchen. Bathroom was clean and updated. Overall the hotel is a little dated but the hospitality of the staff and all the little... More

As with other reviewers, we really appreciated the extraordinary attention to detail and extras--such a rarity these days. The lavendar amenities, champagne, mini-fridge, cookies, breakfast, et al. We found the location to be perfect as well and would stay there again if we're fortunate enough to return to the area.

What I loved about the Lavender Inn, was the all the free extras we received! Champagne in the room upon arrival, although you can request Cider instead at reception, cheese and biscuits between 4.30-6.30, milk and cookies between 6.30-8.30. I felt a little tipsy before leaving the room! The pool is lovely, but a little too cold for us! I... More

Such a relaxing place to stay-the rooms were spacious and the staff really friendly and full of local information. The extras of complimentary breakfast, wine and cheese early evening and cookies later just were the icing on the cake!

We stayed here for 2 nights. Overall the setup felt a lot like a motel- the room was pretty standard, breakfast was the same continental style every day. It was clean, but was missing the charm I tend to expect from bed and breakfasts. Positives: Decent pool Free champagne Free cookies/wine Movies you can rent (from their sister hotel) Negatives:...
