When we are in Santa Barbara we always stay here. It is a beautiful view and the pool is nice and so is the hot tub.. We swam each day. Easy walk to the board walk.. Easy to catch the trolly downtown.. Take it all the way to the top and walk back. The hotel is clean and they have... More

Great location essentially at the Beach and walking distance to both Wharfs and State Street. We had the 2-bedroom patio suite which is a nice option for traveling families, but not representative for the average room I'd assume. The Patio Suite was nice, including 2 beautiful bathrooms. The pool is not too glamorous but nice. Breakfast is average, nightly wine... More

We stayed in a ocean view room that was nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Continental breakfast was great and always kept well stocked. The late afternoon wine and cheese was a nice touch for relaxing before dinner. The grounds were very well maintained.

My husband and I came here to get away for a few days and West Beach Inn was the perfect place. It was just steps to the beach, wharf, and sailing and a short walk to shopping and restaurants on State Street. We went with the garden room over the ocean view and loved being able to walk right out... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us! You're right, our property is perfectly situated between the Yacht Harbor and Stern's wharf with easy access to the electric trolley to head up into town on State Street. I will pass on your positive comments to the rest of the staff and are looking forward to your next visit... More

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was much nicer than expected. We had a partial ocean view from our room. The rooms were nicely upgraded and the large walk in closet area was great. We were able to keep our suitcases in the closet to avoid cluttering up our room. Free breakfast was nice... typical... A surprise treat for my daughter's "Sweet Sixteen" treating her and her 2 friends to a luxury Suite located on the beach in Santa Barbara... Unfortunately the fun trip was overshadowed by the Hotel Management who was inappropriate, and unfriendly, really ruining our weekend Vibe. Literally 60 seconds after walking into the room the phone rings with a VERY rude... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. According to the Manager on Duty there appears to be many conflicting accounts of what occurred during your check-in/check-out and even your mix-up on dates to arrive at our property. It's our responsibility to ensure all guests have a comfortable stay with us and when we receive noise complaints... More

We stayed at the West Beach Inn for several days as a home base while we went out each day and explored the area. This is not a resort where you would want to park and sit by the pool all day, so if you are looking for that kind of vacation, you are probably better off elsewhere. A few... More

Great location opposite the West Beach, comfortable rooms, free parking and nice freebies like the wine and cheese served in the evenings. We had one small problem, a lack of hot water to the shower , sorted out very quickly. We were on the second floor looking over the garden and the location was very quiet. Sterns Wharf and State... Thank you so much for your kind words and recommendations. You are right, Toma, next door, has amazing Italian food but books up very quickly. Our Front Desk staff can always try to get you preferred seating if interested! ♥ We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Santa Barbara! More

I had you at Wine Reception, but it is also their location that you just can't beat for the price. Across the street from the beach and a short walk to the Pier or Harbor. And a few more blocks and you are on State Street, the shopping mecca. You have to walk up State Street, under the 101 and... More

A basic, clean hotel with close proximity to beach, restaurants, shopping and other areas. Be cautious about cancels (72 hours) I was not informed of their policy, had an emergency and delay ... without "corporate" approval I would have been charged.
