Villa Rosa Inn is cute and cozy and had a Spanish feel. The original room we booked was not available due to toilet issues. The room they put was in was a little small for 3 people could not fit 4. We didn't know the hotel was under construction- there was no AC and only 1 fan. Complimentary breakfast every... More

I wrote this review in my head every moment I spent in the Villa Rosa. If I hadn't been made to pay at the desk as we checked in, I would have found another hotel. It was a last minute trip to Santa Barbara to celebrate our 41st anniversary. From the outside, this is a pretty place but that's where... More

On my third visit to this hotel (the first two were fine) we were banished to what management refers to as the "cottages". This dilapidated firetrap of a building adjacent to the main hotel, was not only flea infested, but had a toilet that barely functioned, often leaving you with your privates dangling in the toilet water. The hotel has... More

My husband and I go to Santa Barabara every other year just for fun. Although this particular hotel was very pricey for me (250+ per night), I fell in love with it. This year, my husband and I stayed here in late June. Note, June - August is Santa Barabra's peak season so were were right in the thick of... More

The first thing the manager said, "you owe $10". I told her we paid online, she insisted I give her $10 for wine & cheese. I don't want wine & cheese, "you owe $10"! Then she gave me the room key, I went up to the room, opened the door and someone was in the room. The door knob broke... More

Our usual motels were full due to high season at beach so we tried Villa Rosa Inn for the first time. Funky charm and quirky sums it up. What's to like: location is outstanding one blook off the water. Save $150 a night by doing so. -walkable to wharf, beach, harbor, and Waterfront 50 cent shuttle up state street -old... More

Stayed there back in May. Found it to be pretty cool. Old school charm, warm and inviting atmosphere. Would highly recommend the villa rosa to people who like to have fun in a beautiful place! Really enjoyed the happy hour! Local wines are always featured, and pair nicely with assorted cheeses and fruits. This is in my opinion..... This place... More

This was our last stop on a mega 3 week road trip down the west coast. My kids (3 and 5) really enjoyed this nostalgic, Spanish style b&b. We swam in a clean and warm hot tub, enjoyed hanging by the pool and the pretty foliage, and appreciated the charm of this older and quaint inn. The staff was friendly,... More

Stayed here for a girls weekend and it was lovely. More money than I would have liked to spend but what you get for the money is good. Nice breakfast...a little more than continental and a little less than full breakfast. A good way to start the day and the coffee and juice was unlimited. Happy hour was wine, other... More

I had high hopes. I arrived late in the evening. Had a smooth check in. That was the best part.... It's a cute place but be warned, no air conditioning and the breakfast should not even be called a breakfast (for a "B&B," holiday inn has better breakfasts!). Once I got the room cooled down it was nice. Big room... More
